Don't Underestimate The Power Of PCP Air Rifles

With my Air Venturi Avenger being so accurate, I need some better targets. I also want to make them a little more interesting than the reset targets I already have. I love the visual and audible feedback they provide, but I'd also like to see where I missed when I do.

mmmmmmmm twist the top of the metal where you have the hole and drill a bigger hole for the bolt bar that way they will never come off and will spin around every time you hit it, or make small blocks with a hole for the bar and bolt the target to one of the blocks and still spin around :)

Thanks for the suggestions 👍. I have been trying S-hooks that are 1/8" or 3mm steel and they still bend open and fly off after a few shots 😂. I have some more ideas that I need to try. I'll make another video about these targets when I've found a fix...

That sounds a lot easier to make 😁 Don't they get beat up really quick because the metal isn't that thick? What are you shooting them with?

I'd imagine your targets last a lot longer that way. I had to tune down the .22 Avenger to 24 ft pounds because out of the box it's closer to 34 ft pounds. It saves me a lot of pumping and I get more shots per fill that way. Power isn't everything if you're just shooting targets in your backyard unless you're trying to shoot over 50 yards, but who has a backyard over 50 yards anyway. I would like a 100 yard one though, then it makes sense 😂

I have my Avenger tuned down to about 24 foot pounds for 15 gr pellets. Your Maverick probably has 3x higher energy if you're shooting something heavy. You can always double the thickness of the steel (I have 3 mm, 1/8") and then it would probably work for you.

I like that idea. After the aluminum wire I tried S-hooks that are about 1/8" or 3mm steel, they got bent anyway by the impact. There's a chance key rings get bent because they're so thin, but they could also make the targets spin freely, avoiding all that destruction 😜👍

I don't have a plasma cutter so I'm keeping it simple with circles and squares 😜👍
