There is no fee at all, the only fee is if you use the cloud service but I don’t. You can monitor it anytime from anywhere. It will also send you motion alerts to your Rhine and record the clips to the SD card

Many thanks for this video, it was a lot easier to set up watching this rather than using the manual. I got one yesterday - 4th December and the menu seems a bit different, unfortunately. Under Recording management, all is has is event recording and sd card capacity. The only thing I can do here it seems is to format the card, yet you were able to set recording time. Also I can't see any option to set HD as you did. Not sure if this is because of an update or because of different country, England.

It always records in HD, what you are seeing is the viewing of the live video, when viewing live video you will says SD on the screen, click that to HD. You can’t set it to continuously record for a set amount of time. You can set the time to when the Alarm recording works. Do this by clicking on the gear”settings” then, Alarm Management, Alert Plan, then, then Add Time Period.

@@Woodzman Thanks for that. I know you can't record continuously but what I was referring to was the duration that you set @7.08 in your video to 1 minute. I have now found that although mine only allows 10,20 or 30 seconds, not the length of time yours has.

You may not have to if it works but it’s usually a good idea to always format the SD card in the camera you are using

Great video. Are you able to get an audible sound on your phone whenever there is an alert? I get the alert, but have not been able to get an alert with sound. I think I have all of the permissions set to allow, but still no luck.

@@Woodzman I FINALLY got mine to give me both audible and vibrate on my phone!!! In the CloudEdge settings, there was more than one place to pick the sound that I wanted. I only had 2 of them set to the sound that I wanted. I set all of them to the sound that I wanted and now I get it. I had already set the app to give all of the permissions. It's working really good now. Hope this helps.

I brought this camera a week ago but can't find a way to save my detection videos to my video / pictures on my phone. Can this be done if so, can you explain how please? I've been through my manual but can't see where it says to do this. Also I am not getting notifications when the sensor goes off, it may be my phone but I don't know where to look to put this right.. I have a question. I have 3 of these cameras. 1 at home 2 at another location. I bought a second camera for home and it only shows motion detection pictures, no live video. I use 5GH for older camera. New camera will not work with either 2.4 or 5GH. Cameras at other location work fine, but new camera will not connect to live. (I returned first camera thinking it was defective. New camera does the same) I don't understand why the new camera will not be recognized or show live video.

Great video thank you for sharing. A friend of mine has one of these cameras and has been unable to get the recording/notifications features working. I checked and he does have it connected to his Wi-Fi and also has a memory card installed. I assume this should be relatively straight forward from their but something is not correct in his setup. I came across your video when trying to look up the configuration steps needed for the camera and am thinking at this point I should just look to see about factory defaulting the camera and starting over. If you have any suggestions I am open to them. Thank you again

@@leahrushing5240 hello. Yes, I removed the MicroSD card and put a different brand that was also faster than what my friend had put in. Has been working without issue since. Hope that helps.

No it records when it sees motion and steams when you get on the app to view the camera. You wouldn’t want it streaming all the time, the battery wouldn’t last long

Hi, did you experience any lag in detection? Ive set the motion detection sensitivity from 1 to 10 and for some reason, my camera always misses the first few seconds of video and its really not good. Mine is the ZS-GXS2

Hi there, I watched your video and actually purchased one off Amazon. It worked well where I set it up which is 2 hours north of where I live. I have it connected to that WiFi. However, once I drove away and attempted to connect in another location it did not work. Does the camera not connect remotely? Yes it does work remotely. You can look at it from anywhere. You have the camera connected to your Wi-Fi ? It must be connected to the WiFi at the location where it is

It sounds like the camera when you’re there is connected to your phone but the camera is not connected directly to the WiFi

@@Woodzman hey brother, oddly enough I emailed them through the app itself. And when I want back today it worked. So possibly some sort of internal error in the app. But now works well. I'm in the city and watching squirrels and crows on the camera, just like I wanted. So if anyone else has an issue I guess I recommend sending an email or feedback through the app itself.

I’m not sure if the Android Cloud Edge app is exactly the same. On mine I go to where i a viewing the camera, then at the top right click on the pencil. Then turn on “Receive Alert Notifications. You have to do this to each camera
