Thank you for the video. Working on balance is so important, especially as we age.

This is a fantastic video. I have quite a few riding friends that are so scared of falling that they are just freeze. I tried to teach them better solutions, but your video is so much better and detailed. ❤

Thanks I hope it helps. I teach my students in the arena and have them practice scenarios so they are ready when it happens.

May I present a suggestion? Your camera person needs to be more still. I just subscribed but already am getting nausea from all the movement. I really want to watch and learn from you but won't be able to if they are unable to change their technique. Thank you.

It's a pivo, no camera man, we do what we can and sometimes it just does that and I do not know it's happening. Wish I could afford a camera man but I cannot.

I been trying to find a good riding school around Springfield or west plains Missouri I can’t find any every one just wants slot of money and just bring me an already saddle horse and let me ride in the area, when I asked how to make the horse go to the left or right .i was told just go 😅.

Try someone who does natural horsemanship. They usually teach from the ground up

Tips on staying in the saddle when a crow hop happens? It's gone beyond bucking and it's nerve racking.
@GayeDeRusso2 ай бұрын
Lean back as far as you can, like head to tail, watch the bucking bronco riders and keep jerking one rein but hold the horn or safety strap with the other hand and try and spin him like disengage the hindquarters, will take the power away from them. But you need to figure out the cause to stop it completely. Also once you gait control put his feet to work as fast as you can so you associate the acting up with more work. If you stop after they do it, it makes them do it more. You may even have to hire a cowboy or can ride it out to help you.

@GayeDeRusso thanks a bunch. That's about how I handle it. In a one hour ride two weeks ago he did his bronc performance 4 times. I have not tried the one rein tugging. Usually grabbing with both reins and when he lands turn him to disengage. I have been looking for a horseman / woman who could give him a couple rides to show him this is not acceptable. I feel he is protesting work of any kind. Also when he runs at liberty he always throws huge buck and crow hops. That leads me to believe it's not saddle fit. He 28 and could have some bad joints. For some reason I never reach for the horn. Learned English in the early days and nothing to reach for. Thanks again. I will keep seeking brave help. Not many cowboys in eastern Canada 🍁.

Yes at that age it might be due to something painful.
