Got the M2 iPad Pro 12.9 for my wife who thought she wanted the Air 13. The mini-LED and Tbolt port were the deciding factors. Same keyboard for both and she already has a Pencil 2 so a no brainer. Crazy part is the price for a 256GB M2 Pro was so close to the Air with 512GB that it made no sense, especially with how you can easily use external storage with Pro models. I bet the M2 Pros go on intermittent sales until supplies run out. They’ll be supported for years, but Apple has to stock making them or the Air sales will stall when I bet they were hoping for big sales.

Used to own the whole apple ecosystem, had an 11 inch ipad pro with m1, had to change to windows due to work and realized I was bored of my ipad, yes, really powerful but not much to do unless you were using video or photo editing tools, so things I donˋt use, now I have a galaxy tab s9+ and love it, perfect to use while in a plane, good for casual gamming check emails and all of the things that I like with a better display, 512 gb of storage, awesome pencil an way cheaper, also DEX has saved a ton of times so is my safe to carry device, unlike the ipad.

S-pen you can change the tip of you don't like the feel on the screen. I took advantage and it's awesome. Also screen protectors that feel like paper when you write is usually for artist but feels great for taking notes as well.

I purchased a new 1TB Galaxy Tab S9+ with the slim keyboard for $1,000 before taxes off of someone from EBay. I was going to buy the new iPad Air but once I added it to cart with the keyboard, it came up to $1,600 so I rather save the $600 and go with the 1TB S9+.

Genuine question and i've been back and forth between Samsung and apple tablets, i need the apps on iOS but i think Samsung tablets are just better. I'm gonna study computers, games, so i need art apps like procreate but nomad sculpt is also a necessary app but it's 20 bucks on IOS (from what i've heard) also i think it's kinda hard to operate on IOS as a loyal android user, so any help? (i have up to 1,300 JOD to spend) keep in mind i need to multi task, draw, and take notes (NOTE: i want to use good notes but also a pen (s pen or apple pencil) i'm really torn)

I've used both extensively. Would say that if you're a student and looking for a 'one for all' solution, tab s9+ with the keyboard is better for you. You can do all your work, consume media, play/stream games and dabble in digital art. Its the better all rounder. If you're a digital artist / creator, definitely go for the iPad air. the S9 lagged a lot for me in demanding apps, experienced stutters when selecting tools, palm rejection wasn't as good and the s-pen periodically did weird things. no issues with any of that with the iPad. Android fans might argue that the s9 is equally good when it comes to creating but in my experience, its not true. all those little niggles do become a huge bother when you're in the zone and made me resent using it so picked up the 2024 iPad air instead.

Hello,in your opinion, which one is better ipad air 13 or ipad pro m1 12.9? I am not creator or anything I'm just a student so i will be using it for note taking,studying,media consumption and some gaming what will be better 120hz but with m1,bluetooth 5 (idon't care a lot about the other difference)or m2 and BT 5.3 but 60hz? I have glaxy s21ultra, so will i miss the high refresh rate on the air in studying and gaming or the m2 Make it more snappy and not that crucial?

S9 ultra is more comparable to iPad Pro M4 13 inches, they are priced similarly..but the S9+ is around $999 which is slightly more expensive than the Air, but its worth it because u get the Spen included (u mentioned notetaking so u must be dropping 79 or 129 dollars on a pencil), dynamic amoled display, 2 cameras, and it will be integrated better with your s21 ultra.. Also personally i find samsung's spen better for notetaking as its a softer tip.. I have the tab S9 FE and I absolutely love the Spen...

Or even emulators? iPads are the worse for media and games , in a fact there's not a single media app that scales correctly with the 3:4 ratio (KZbin have so much black lines , Instagram have more than half of the screen as filler , Reddit have existence crisis if it should run like PC or mobile) Native games are very good but most people interested in emulators which work very horrible like when I want to play god of war I play with my 6 years old note 8 (Snapdragon) instead of the M1 iPad and still get better fps in the same resolution

Ipad m4 is incredible. M2 is also really decent for anyone below prosumer (being on their tablet too often) or actual professionals. Get the M2 Pro. Its better

Aspect ratio wise, the closer it is to 1 (i.e. <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="61">1:1</a>), the higher the viewing area for the same diagonal length. Simple calculation will tell, A = d² x l x w / sqrt( l² + w²). 1 x 1/sqrt(1+1) = 0.707, 4 x 3 /sqrt 25 = 0.48, As the aspect ratio grows longer, the denominator grows faster. Of course, usability and practicality is a factor, but nowadays phone is just about the same area as a Samsung Note III, despite having a longer diagonal

Check € and $ prices. Cheapest 13" Pro I believe is $1299 which translates to 1196,70€, but it is 1579€. That is more than $400. And yeah some states in the US have to pay tax which I believe is 5-9%, still crazy difference, but it's the same for all products these days. Almost.

If the Galaxy Tab S9+ (actually any Galaxy Tab for that matter) had the aspect ratio of an iPad I'd take the Tab any day over the iPad. I use my tablet for digital art, and the more square shape works better - for me. I wouldn't turn either down if someone wanted to give me one lol - but because of the aspect ratio, i prefer the iPad. Wouldn't it be amazing if Samsung brought out a tablet with an aspect ration like the iPad? I'd buy that.

@@TechGearTalk For general purpose utility and productivity or content consumption pretty much any tablet over the past 5 years is probably sufficient for most users. For me to spend $800+ on one though there needs to be something a lot more specific than just being an elegant messaging, Netflix and KZbin slab. I buy Macs for Logic Pro and iPads for Procreate, but I have a PC for gaming. The software dictates the platform.
