Another way to get some encouragement in the morning is to name your alarm something encouraging. For example I struggled with trusting Gods sovereignty so when my alarm goes off in the morning it doesn't just say "Alarm" it says "God is Sovereign". Seeing that truth first thing helps me to dive into my quiet time with the right mindset.

Here we are 3 years later and God led me straight to a word I needed for TODAY! I've been struggling most of my adult life to force myself up, out of bed and before God in a consistent not hurried way. I've been unable to do it because I can't wake up easily. I've been working from home for a couple of months because of the pandemic and it's gotten worse. I'm so convicted of this sin and am starting to fight back by any means necessary. I used to think I wasn’t a morning person....until I became a morning person. I realized that I had created an idol of comfort - I’d rather stay in my comfortable, warm bed than get up and seize the day. My flesh desired/desires comfort; however, this “comfort zone”, I realized, was killing me (not necessary literally, but spiritually). This idol of comfort had held me back for so long and had seriously deterred my personal growth, and I didn’t even realize it until just recently (it is humbling to realize that it took me 20+ years to see these things that, in hindsight, were staring me in the eyes the whole time - but I didn’t like the implications, so I ignored them and looked for other answers). Realizing this - and deciding to do something about it - has opened up my eyes to many other forms of idolatry that I had created or allowed in to my life. It was actually quite freeing: recognizing the problem, which meant that I could then tackle the problem. Unsurprisingly, I have so far found Jesus to be the only remedy - not to say that He has removed these struggles, but He has given me peace; and that, though Him and His strength, I have been given victory, even if not fully attained yet. John 16:33; Romans 8:6-8; John 14:27; Philippians 4:13; Romans 8:37; Philippians 3:12 (Ps. I include these Scriptures not to show off or anything like that, but in recognition that this struggle has brought each of those scriptures to life and I can now actually identify with them, instead of being just words on a page).

Not to sound crazy but I'm speaking from knowledge because I'm an Electronic Engineering Tech. All video monitors including your phone flash over 1,000,000 times per second. Your eye cant see it but your brain can. Your screen looks solid but its not. It causes all humans to go into "Flicker-Induced Hypnosis" after about 5 seconds. In that state you can be made to feel great joy, hunger, anger, or sadness by what you see because your suggestive a.k.a. hypnotized. That's scientifically why you obsess over your phone you love the joy being hypnotized brings you. That's the truth I'm telling you its scientific and I believe Jesus would tell you the same. The down side is being in suggestion makes it easier for you to sin because being hypnotized while watching sinful actors changes your good behavior. bad company corrupts good morals. God Bless.

So, what if you are watching KZbin sermons all the time?
@newperspective13184 жыл бұрын
@@judylloyd7901 That's why Jesus didn't say it was evil because the truth is we are hypnotized daily everywhere and alot of it is for your good not evil. On a date the good chemistry just means the man's manerisms and choice of words was able to hypnotize the woman so she pays close attention. Or a bible teacher that is easy to understand and who you just click with is because he was able to hypnotize you when others could not. The reason a person who stutters or has broken speech is hard to listen to is because we need a steady conversation to be hypnotized by them aka have a good conversation we actually need to be hypnotized to live life. A.D.D is actually when a person can't concentrate because they can't get hypnotized on what there doing. They can't get in the zone like the rest of us. On the other hand when we watch movies and listen to music that's evil we are put into suggestion by their powerful skills and in turn we copy the behavior subconsciously without even knowing it. Tv puts a hypnotic trance on all of us but when it's broken we often find ourselves reading the bible and prayer 3 fold. I was a Beng tv watcher before I got married. After I got married we moved into an apartment and I had no tv access for years accept family and friends. Within 1 year the trance broke and within 2 years I was in full repentance mode reading my Bible hours a day and praying the same. I'm telling the truth before God. I have not returned to my old tv habits in 10 years now that I see the truth.

I hate my social media addiction so bad. It's so annoying, just seeing hours pass by, restless knowing there is still something I have to do. The mornings over and I haven't even gotten started on my day because of my phone. Sometimes I just wanna throw my phone and blow up social media but I can't because without social media I probably wouldn't have been saved. So I'm thankful but I hate the curse that is associated with it. Sometimes I wish I could just teleport to the mountains where there is no technology, no distractions and it's just me and God. And I could spend my morning with God instead of my stupid phone. My dicipline is TRASH. It used to be good back in 2021 but then 2022 came and I became lazy as crap. I'm not blaming my mom but based on what my mom did I made the wrong choice. She made it so I couldn't workout in the morning anymore and instead of being like "Ok thats not gonna stop me, I'll just workout when I come back from school until she allows me to workout in the morning again." No instead I complained like a little 5 year old and after a while just started skipping workouts. Then when easter break came I made it easy on myself and made the choice that I could pray after I eat breakfast while sitting in a chair! Then eventually I got saved around the end of may to the beginning of juneish of 2022. I had doubts of my salvation and had to deal with that for a long time. But then eventually it stopped and I got into self improvement, starting watching Hamza and stuff. But it was driven out of emotion instead of dicipline. When I was motivated I would workout. When I was motivated I would wake up early. This one time I was waking up early and I did for 2 days 😂. Man but those 2 days were amazing. I wanna be diciplined so bad but I feel like I'm a slave to my emotions. I know that I shouldn't just do what I feel like but I do it anyways. My unconcious just always takes over. I hate it so dang bad and if I could get rid of it in a button I would. I'm tryna make small steps everyday but sometimes I just feel discouraged. It's a tough life bruh but at the end of it when you hear "Well done my good and faithful servant." Its all gonna be worth it. Thank you all who listened, God bless

Haven't woke in the morning in years minus Sunday's. Living the 3rd shift dream. I think though I get more alone time than most. Probably 6 hours a night out of 8, 10 or 12 depending on the night!

Night shift? What type of work do you do? Does the boss mind you reading your Bible?

@@susang5445 I mainly use an audio bible. Bible.is is a good app. I have to make a correction in the post above. Some night I get to listen to the bible more than others.

@@sparky4581 I love the audio bible read by David Suchet. He played Poirot for many years on TV. His accent for reading the NIV is a British one, though. Very easy to listen to.☺
