I've had entire herds of red deer, southeastern Spanish ibex, gredos ibex, Iberian wolves, gray wolves, and wild boar freeze like this, it's creepy because they change direction to face you constantly, but never move from their place, then when you shoot them they charge in your direction about 4 yards and freeze again. Free money, but I never mount bugged animals like that, ruins the experience of hunting those animals ever again if I do.

Big antler species have a large gap between their lungs in the game so you can clear the heart and lungs and hit a vital liver shot with enough pen power. If u always aim for high lung they are closer together

Its honestly kind of enjoyable when animals bug out. Was playing on Cuatro Colinas yesterday and 3 wild boars froze in place. Easily completed a side mission

I started playing this game about like 6 years ago and never encountered a bugged out animal, now that I’m just returning, the first few whitetail I killed were all bugged out lol

Well that's the thing. More animals are bugged, wolves, fallow deer, banteng. Not like all the time, but happens, and especially in multiplayers. But I believe devs work on it 👍

This happens to my buddy all the time when me and him are in a game, he could shoot at a heard 20 times and they won't run but the moment i take a potshot at the same heard they all run. I just say beginners luck because he is fairly new at the game, only happened to me 3 times. Also yes i know it's a server connection problem when this happens

Gotta love a group of pronghorn, mule deer, or bison all bugged and you shoot every single one of them all vital kills, harvest them all, and make that money. Then get kicked soon after either bc the whole session is like that or other players think you're cheating and manually kick

The similar thing also happened to me, but it was a longer time ago. I was hunting with bow and my lures. So I shoot, call, shoot, call... Then I claim all my killed trophies and got kicked from server 😅😅

sometimes the reason animals are freezing is because a exploiter has been in that area. I usually just get out of the area and hunt somewhere else.

I had one like these the other day as well. In between the 2 lungs but it hit nothing, no organ whatsoever.

@@joel.hunter right in between and above the heart. I knew something is fishy when it said "no vital organs hit" but when i checked trajectory i was like "really"? Yesterday i hit the right lung on a Roosevelt elk but from the left side. It went above the left lung, under the spinal cord/vertebrae and only hit the right lung. My friend who shot the same target was even weirder, his shot was like 50cm outside the hitbox but it said liver shot.
