Your daddy obviously knew GREAT music when he heard it!! He has been mine and my daddy's favorite singer all our lives and it's because of Don that my daddy found a wonderful lady who became my stepmother. All his adult life, people everywhere would stop him and tell him he looked just like Don Williams (he did...only shorter) and one night he walked into a Denny's restaurant, was stopped by a lady and her daughter...and they asked him the question..."has anyone ever told you you look like Don Williams?" He told her the same thing he's always told people "I've heard that all my life." She eventually became my stepmother and I'm so thankful she did because with her, my daddy finally found the happiness he so deserved...and all because he looked like Don (only shorter)

Bless you Chantel. My mom passed on 08 February 2005 from breast cancer. She was almost 72. These country musicians were the true country music artists! Don Williams is in that rank! He wrote and played his songs and they all came from life experience and from the heart. Your mom is in good hands. We never stop missing our moms... but take heart, it does get better with time.
