Thanks for your interesting vids. I remember these lines when I was a boy, relatives had a farm-on Green Rd, near the old bridge. Been in Australia for 60 years and never ever got back for a visit (I don’t fly). Oh the memories!

I can understand that, having flown to Australia and back a few years ago. A long journey. But if you do come back, the bridge is still there to welcome you

Thank you! It’s not likely, I am 82 now & don’t travel too far these days. I have great memories, I remember the trains running, going to Newcastle etc. Then the UTA ran amok & closed it all down.Today they would have been great commuter lines! Best wishes.

Thank you! My family ran The Railway Hotel in the Donaghadee station but I've only seen it as a car park so seeing your images of the original buildings is wonderfu.

Another fine video - I was just down there last thursday evening and was noticing the rails filled in on the pier.

Really interesting - I used to holiday in D'dee in the Sixties. I'm a tour guide and this is great.

Thank you for the info. Good to see the probable stationmaster's house where my grandparents were at the end of WW2. I will look out for it next time in Donaghadee.

Cheers! Means a lot. Well the aim is to cover the entire Co Down network eventually. Would like to tick off Ballynoe on the Ardglass branch, but was also thinking of heading elsewhere in NI. But not for a while, obviously...

The house was built for the harbour and used by Irish lights for the lighthouse keeper, never the stationaster. Currently for sale
