Meet Donald Fawkner, the Program Manager at @upsideyouthmentoringnz, working with 9 to 13-year-olds. When kids face adverse experiences, it can be a heavy burden. But with a mentor who gets the in-jokes and shares experiences, they don't have to carry it alone. It's all about building relationships and making a real difference. ✨
One touching story: a little girl, who battled cancer, blossomed after just three weeks with her mentor. Every Tuesday, they go to the library and read together, showing how a listening ear can truly change lives. 💕
