I have watched AOC and Jasmine Crockett give numerous interviews and do live feeds for the last two weeks. These women have been loud and vocal. They are explaining what's going on, why it matters, and giving tips for fighting back. They are also displaying some ruthlessness that is desperately needed. Listening to AOC talk about how Elon Musk is think skinned and has a fragile ego was awesome. It's incredibly frustrating that independent liberal media is totally ignoring these two and their efforts. These women are being the spokespersons that the Democratic party needs, and I haven't heard anything about what they're doing on most independent media podcasts, newsletters, and channels. We need to boost their voices, especially when on most days they are the ONLY voices on the left. Quit ignoring the people that are standing up. We don't have a leader in this party because we want to pick the leader. We didn't pick Obama, he stood up and took the reins. That's what these women are doing. Get behind them!

As I listen to the interview with Sen. Schatz, a thought strikes me. I've argued that the only reason that old 45 ran to be 47 was to stay out of jail. While I try to be understanding and lead with love, I find myself wondering what we the people can do to make his second administration feel less like being president and more (and more) like being a prisoner. To be fair to Leader Jeffries, the GOP did not write Project 2025. An independently-funded right-wing think tank spent decades developing the policy and hundreds of millions of dollars lobbying to put it together. The GOP is just using parts of it as a playbook. Project 2025 actually says that tariffs should be abolished because they are terrible for the economy. So it isn't being followed verbatim. If the Friends of the Pod put together a 900-page document outlining modern left-wing policies and implementation, rather than complain about the lack of political vision, then I'm sure a bunch of Dems would use it.

Democrats need more concrete, immediate ideas that people can grasp. They need a tangible plan, a progressive version of project 2025. If they came out with Project 2029 that included things like raising money from the IRS revenue, taxing corporations and the ultra wealthy, and giving that directly back to the working class in the form of UBI, or single-payer healthcare, it would give people something they can understand and stand for. Seize on the class-based frustrations that millions of us face every single day.
