Under Bannon's "flood the zone" version of "Shock and Awe," trying to overwhelm your resistance with rapid shocks, remember the 5 steps Jennifer Walter suggested to handle it: 1/ Set boundaries: Pick 2-3 key issues you deeply care about and focus your attention there. You can’t track everything - that’s by design. Impact comes from sustained focus, not scattered awareness. 2/ Use aggregators & experts: Find trusted analysts who do the heavy lifting of synthesis. Look for those explaining patterns, not just events. 3/ Remember: Feeling overwhelmed is the point. When you recognize this, you regain some power.Take breaks. Process. This is a marathon. 4/ Practice going slow: Wait 48 hours before reacting to new policies. The urgent clouds the important. Initial reporting often misses context. 5/ Build community: Share the cognitive load. Different people track different issues. Network intelligence beats individual overload. -Remember: They want you scattered.Your focus is resistance.

Nice for the people, who can safely turn away, but for those whose job it actually is to report, parse, and resist - some of it just doesn't work. They have to track everything, and separate the distractions from the real moves. They can't take breaks, go slow, or wait 48 hours. We need an organization who can field an informed counter-offensive. Lawyers at the ready to file suits. A real time information network, to feed a new media conglomerate that can flood the zone themselves with a counter-narrative. People to organize protests before the cycle moves on. Yes, overwhelming us is the point, but doing damage lots quickly is their tactic - and it gets normalized if we let anything slide. We need a (soft power) army. If this goes too far, the parentheses might go away, and nobody wants that.

The Americans have no idea of the story and the passion about this strip of land. Initially I thought Netanyahu was smiling and acting smug, however I think he was in shock that Trump, the President of the United States, was so ignorant to the situation. Even the question "What are you going to DO WITH the Palestinians?" is beyond disrespectful, tone deaf, and colonial. What the hell right is it for any Leader to consider "What they are going to do with" a people? Why should anyone even consider what will be DONE WITH anyone in another country? Imagine Putin giving a Press conference about him coming to the US and proclaim what he is "going to do with" Americans?! (Which given where Trump is heading is not that far off!)

When Trump was signing his Executive Orders the assistant would tell Trump what the specific Order was about and Trump would look up and stupidly say "Oh, that's good!" or "Oh, that's very important" and 'Oh, that's a big one!" as if it were the first time he had ever heard of it and he was signing things he has never thought about.

Instead of "he's the President," shouldn't we be saying "he's just the President." The first version infers the president can do whatever he wants, an "off with his head!" situation. We're not supposed to have that here. No, Kaitlyn, it's not "fascinating" to see trump pull us back to a pre-Magna Carta world.
