I am not confused about it at all. Trump would be an utter unknown outside gamblers on the east coast were it not for him being a reality television celebrity. He's rather the grandfather of reality TV considering he was the very first guest on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous back in the 80s. Without his two-bit acting skills on reality TV shows like "The Apprentice" you'd have never heard of him. Indeed, most of his supporters think that's how he'll act as president; "you're fired." The truth of it is that is the OPPOSITE of what a president can do. It's also pretty clear Trump has no idea about even basic civics; presidents do not control tariffs, taxes, or the debt. CONGRESS does that. Trump lives and breathes on Twitter, inherited his money from his daddy, and he's a reality TV celebrity -- just like the Khardashians.

Too long... the whole bit about McCain was a waste of time. Make this more succinct, focus on Trump and his fraud and connections to other criminals.
@SpectatorAlius8 жыл бұрын
You found it "too long" only because you missed the point in "the whole bit about McCain". The point was that the same fraudsters behind JD Hayworth's scam are involved in Trump's later scam, the "Trump Institute". Pointing out that they have such a long, solid history of fraud makes it even more clear that the Trump Institute is a fraud, and that therefore Trump himself is a fraud.
@lenhealy23148 жыл бұрын
I didn't miss the point... the history can be established and the point made more efficiently. Watch the video again... at the end she even talks about how Trump is great at being a businessman and therefore he'll be great at being president... of course she is being sarcastic but that point is largely lost in the monotony of the video which simply does not get to point. The specific message of Trump's fraud needs to be a focal point of this story and others.
@SpectatorAlius8 жыл бұрын
Len Healy I saw it as the focal point of this story. Why didn't you? Or are you worried that the people who really need to be convinced will miss the clues, including missing her sarcasm?
@lenhealy23148 жыл бұрын
Of course it was the focal point... yes the people who need to understand will miss the clues - as obvious as they are.

Len Healy Unfortunately, judging by the reactions posted here, you are right, they will miss the clues. But it is worse than that. Maddow is "preaching to the choir" because not only will they miss the clues, but even when they do get them, they will deny the conclusion anyway.

@SpectatorAlius8 жыл бұрын
Douglas IRL But they are NOT "different things", they ARE tied together by the common thread of being frauds run by the same fraudulent people. You would pay $80 to hear Trump? Then you are what he calls a 'flat'. Did you pay to hear him call himself a 'sharp' and the people he dupes 'flats'? At least that would have been worth your money, since you would have then learned he was duping you.

How many people does Trump employ again? Ask them what they think of him if you want the truth. And not just the three crazy one's who don't like him. Ask the majority for the general consensus. Or is that too hard?

The combination of 'too much tv' and 'a lot of financial frustrations': a dangerous landscape that leads many others to be duped with something like this (trump's ad!). sad :)
