I was a Union Member back in the eighties. The Union helped many women like myself to break the glass ceiling. Union gave me a opportunity to work in Skill Trades. I was sometimes the only woman in my Skill Trade classes. It wasn't the easiest journey, some men were not to keen about me entering the "good old boys" domain. Guess what, I have a great pension because of the Union. Sure, mom wanted me to be a executive secretary. It felt so good to be the only woman in Skill Trades, for the company I worked for. The automotive union strike that occurred caused as much if not more damage than good as anyone in the automotive field not union (engineers, etc) got their jobs heavily affected by it. We are also now looking at Stellantis (Dodge, etc) possibly pulling all of their work out of the United States. They may have won a battle by making the CEOs bend over, but lost the war since you know they won't give up a dime and made cuts everywhere else. I wish Biden handled the situation better; even though it was better than what the orange turd would have done.
