It could be in order to give candidates facing incumbent politicians more time to become known. If you were running against a sitting president, obviously the sitting president is going to be a lot more recognized than the up-and-comer, so a shorter campaign might be disadvantageous.

Where as the incumbent has persistent momentum to ride on. Something people don't understand is that the system is not broken. It's doing exactly what it's supposed to do. It's screwed up, but it's not broken. As it is the system is designed (with intent) to favor the political minority. After all what is the electoral college other than affirmative action for conservatives.

I think the reason Abe isn't in this one, is because Abe's ERB character got this reputation for smacking sense into people, and didn't smack Hillary which caused a whole controvery in the comments. Teddy's character doesn't have that predisposition, so having him fill the roll in another political battle against a man and a woman candidate means there's no need to worry about whos' smacking who. It was a smart choice to still have the run-in, and not stir that beehive again.

The ad won. I know some people don't watch the original videos or skip out on the ads, but their ad on this was even better than the rap battle. Worth watching on its own. I felt like a lot of potential material was left on the table by the lines they gave Harris in this. Which may well be a balancing thing since she hasn't been in the spotlight as long as he has. But it also did feel like they nailed her mannerisms and style pretty solidly. I'm definitely too biased by reality to call a winner on this one, though.

Draw. Trump hit harder but his NYT reporter and Eating the Dog lines lose him points. Kamala’s attacks were also too implicit. (ear getting shot line, rape allegations line, trump and his dad not leasing to black people line[black woman living in his head]) You shouldn’t have to rewatch to get most of her attacks. Teddy solos both. I also think teddy’s dig at Kamala was more about her campaign not really promising any changes if she wins.

I don't know if you've watched the Barack Obama vs. Mitt Romney or Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton rap battles, but they both end with Abraham Lincoln flying down on a bald eagle and doing a verse that ends with "of the people/by the people/for the people/eagle." Teddy Roosevelt flying down on a moose and ending his verse like he did is a reference to that tradition.

Regardless of what anyone says I will always say Roosevelt won. However, I think Kamala could've come harder with her bars. One consideration for why she didn't may be because they didn't want to reuse too many insults they'd already used. Trump has been in 3 presidential ERBs up to this point so maybe they're running out of good material? I wouldn't know because I don't keep up too much with the election beyond policies.

Roosevelts line about trump and chapt 11 is terrible because precovid he had one of the best economies ever. And its impossible to convince me any democrat would have done better.a lot of democrats caused the issues as the governors shut the statesdown too long

He didn’t though. There were quarters with net job losses a little before the pandemic. If anything the pandemic helped him mask the fact he did a terrible job with the economy. There would have been a recession with or without Covid.

@@SuomenJaakaripataljoona This is one thing I never understood. Chapter 11 is so common in the business world that is it commonplace amongst the industry. Most companies have some form of bankruptcy to circumvent losses. Its a loophole.
