Donald Porta after watching your video, you convinced me to go out and buy a nailer, although I don’t think I’m gonna get one for five dollars. Thanks again 👍

Thanks Donald, really enjoy your videos.....you do an excellent job covering all the details! I'd be smiling too if I owned a top of the line Bostitch nailer for less than 15 bucks.... :-) Keep 'em coming! Mike

Thank you so much for teaching us. I bought and old one yesterday RN45. They told me it was good but as soon as I connected the hose it started leaking through the trigger

Ya man that’s how you do it. One mans junk... Some guys have disposable income for new tools, some guys have half an hour to make them new. 👍🏻

My initial rebuild went well. The nailer worked fine. After a few nails the piston rod guide that goes in the front bumper broke. Did I miss something in regard to setting up the piston rod? The bumper was installed with the arrow pointing in. The guide was installed on the outside (nose side) of the bumper.The rod tip that hits the nail is shaped something like a t . Is there something I should have done in regards to the strike points rotational orientation? My gun is a Rn45b just like yours. Thanks mark

Just curious about the specific model of that nail gun. Also there is an O ring under that square thing with the rounded corners at 9:21. The one I just rebuilt is an RN45B. My first time rebuilding one. I tried it out and the trigger won't work. If I depress the trigger button with a screwdriver it will work. Not sure what's wrong. Thanks for the video.

I think mine is the same model---- on the trigger there is a metal flap that is attached on the trigger and is between the trigger and the actuating pin---- sounds like that piece is either missing or is out of position.

Is there way to get info on parts for a store brand nailer from OSH Orchard Supply Hardware that went out of business? I really like the fix it. During the meantime I purchased a new Husky roofing nailer from Home Depot. The instruction on that one seems very strange and dangerous. Will try it in the next few days.

Hi Donald, I have a Duo-fast siding coil gun that stopped feeding nails, it will shoot nails when one is lined up. Do you know anything about how to fix that? The model is CNP-65Y

possibly clean the trigger valve and get it working?
@stevescherer66023 жыл бұрын
The air leak is usually caused by the smallest o-rings on the plunger failing. I have been replacing these tiny o-rings with 2mm id o-rings. Getting the right size is a challenge.

Sorry the second O ring does not go into the piston bore, the cylinder has a seal. (black) that seals that to the head valve bore.
