Hitachi/ Metabo NV45AB2 Roofing Nailer Skipping Nails, Doesn't Fire Right, Leaks Rebuild

In this video I go through a very detailed process of taking this nailer apart and cleaning. Then removing the o-rings and replacing them with new o-rings. My nailer would only fire about every 4th or 5th nail due to sitting for a long time.

Rudy, maybe you should have gotten a black and yellow nailer? Now that gun looked pretty darn clean when you first disassembled it. That's a testament to your fastidiousness in keeping your equipment maintained. Obviously this is not the first time you've broken this gun down. Even though I don't have a hitachi nailer, I watched this whole video. Your technique is excellent. The use of the map is brilliant. Thanks Meat! I really appreciate it. That nailer wound up sitting for probably the last 4 years until my brother needed his shed redone... that's when this skipping problem showed up! I wish I would have thought to take some B-Roll of that. It would have been a good clip with me getting ready to throw the whole thing in the woods! I was so frustrated I didn't think of "Video"!... 😂
