Hi Carolyn. I donated plasma for about 8 months. That was as long as my body could tolerate it. They were very careful who they allowed to donate. Every visit they would poke a finger to check crucial blood level markers. Not a big deal. Had to make sure I kept my protein levels up before I went in. Back then it was $35 for the 1st visit of the week and then $70 for the 2nd visit of the week. That was back probably about 10 years ago now. That's a huge difference in the payout now. They put it on debit card back then too. We have a ton of Plasma Donor locations here in Michigan. That was a great way for me to make money in a time when I really needed to. And I wish you the best with your intermittent fasting. I lost 25 lbs last summer, not on any exercize plan just the intermittent fasting. I found it surprisingly easy to do as well. Then I went back to work in the Fall (school bus driver)and I had a hard time finding necessary bathrooms as frequently as I needed to. So I had to cut back on my water. Intermittent fasting has so many healing properties for our bodies. Dr. Mindy Pelz has some great youtube videos on intermittent fasting. Sorry to ramble on so.....Peace! Out!!❤

I think that is great Carolyn and it is a bonus that you get paid. Let's not forget that your donation of Plasma helps save other peoples lives, and any medical treatment when their protein blood levels are down etc., and also medical research reasons. Some people just can't stand the idea of having blood drawn. My husband has given blood his whole life, but up in Canada it is not something you get paid for, it a voluntary thing. Volunteer fasting is a really good idea. I have thought about it, but I am taking some awfully strong mediations that require eating food. They meds are hard on my stomach etc.

There's a campground out here in the North Carolina mountains. Us RVers know that it is a very curvy road and can get scary at times trying to get there. Anyway, I did a video of the eight or so mile drive up the road to get to the campground. That's all the video was, to show people what the drive look like. I did that video 3 years ago. I had someone attack me in the comments that it was terrible of me to not take that video down and don't I know what happened in the North Carolina mountains last month. They just thought I was the absolute worst person in the world because I did this video and then North Carolina mountains. You can please some of the people all the time and all the people some of the time but you'll never please all the people all the time. From what I have learned, it's not wise to do intermittent fasting if you're donating lots of plasma. Your body is already depleted of fluids and fasting further exacerbates this depletion. This can cause dizziness and fatigue. So, make sure you stay hydrated and replenish your electrolytes. That's my unsolicited advice ♥🙂 (really cute hair cut )

Hi, Carolyn, just a suggestion for Cameron. If he has a major corporation in his area, he can introduce himself to human resources with an appointment and resume and offer to intern for six months and he can be cross-trained in different areas with the intent to be hired after. Personal question if you’re up for answering it, if not I understand. Are you keeping your land in the White Mtns., or you going sell? Your skin radiates and looks so smooth after that treatment you did! Wow! 😊 I couldn’t do that fasting because I’ve got an adrenal problem that affects my blood sugar levels and gets really low if I don’t eat regularly. Carolyn, please dont fast too much while you are donating plasma because donating plasma depletes your body of certain things. I used to donate plasma, that is how I know. One time before I donated, I forgot to make sure I was hydrated and after the procedure was over, I fainted. No I was not new at donating when I fainted. I was an old pro. I just got careless that day and didnt drink enough fluids, which is important because you lose a lot of fluid after donating. So please make sure you are good and hydrated before donating. It could be bad if you pass out while driving home afterwards. I know this message sounds strong, but it comes from experience. Take care.
