I have the outmost admiration for this amazingly talented artist and yes that man has brass balls!! To be the way he was in that era, having accomplished what he has and to have stayed true to himself up until today qualifies Boy George as a true icon...

The 1970's were far more flamboyant and eccentric than today!! I'm the same age as George and we had Bolan, Bowie, Roxy et al. Great days. The English always used to break the norm...But all credit to him for facing his Dad!!

I can't believe how young he was. Culture Club was really popular, then imploded, and I'm thinking it had alot to do with a backlash and homophobia. I mean, that was the early-mid 80s.

I'm only half way through this video and I gotta tell ‘ya... for Letterman to put on that jacket is very magnanimous, gracious, polite, and terribly forward thinking of him to agree to do this... and on camera is absolutely tremendous, it speaks volumes.... I didn’t think he was going to do it, then I thought he was just placating the Boy..... this shows him in a new light. I didn’t think he had it in him....Bravo Dave!! Also I love the Boys’ first line...”....I’m not messing around this time...”... I screamed and almost fell out of my chair....
