I saw the Airplane in at two shows in Honolulu in 68' . The first was at the H.I.C.,( Honolulu International Center), and the next day they performed a free show at the Waikiki Shell out door venue, Hollywood Bowl style, and I was front and center there. Had a close look at Ms. Slick in the Hawaiian sunshine and she looked fantastic. The night before she wore her hair down as we always see her but at the outside event she wore an afro, red no less. Not gaudy, flamboyant red, but subdued, muted red. Probably a wig, I don't know, doesn't matter but have never seen her dawn that look again. This by the way was my second rock concert ever. The first was the night before, yeah baby, 12 years old, YIKES !

I love the Jefferson starship while I was stationed in Ft. Lewis, Washington. I loved the 80's. I spent half of them overseas. When I came back from Korea and I was listening to Jefferson Starship and I was told that the songs were released in 1984 and it was 1985 in the spring time when I first heard the songs. My friends asked me what rock have I been under. I told them that I never heard anything that recent while I was in Korea and I was 20-30 minutes from North Korea. Then they shut up. Yeah people freedom is not free.
