@@hellwalker9356 You're probably both right. After playing Dante it's really hard to go back to anyone else.

@@hellwalker9356 I think after seeing Donguri's catalogue, this couldn't be true. I'm sure most people who've played DMC4 or SE know Nero is a straight forward character with little depth & creativity.

@@1Diddums there's a lot of stuff he doesn't know how to do. Like reversals. Maximum bet cancel. DT cancel by air hike.

I actually prefer the look of *_DMC4_* to *_DMC5_* . The colours and architecture and atmosphere. The settings of *_DMC5_* were a real disappointment by comparison. Swapping between bland and grey, and shapeless demon spawn. And *_DMC4_* really let you appreciate the levels as well with the automatic camera showing off all the most beautiful angles.

While 5 did grow on me, I think I mostly agree with this. A lot of criticism was leveled at 4, some of it deserved, but for all the repeated levels, the environmental design really develops from mission to mission. Additionally, while Dante did just run through a bunch of Nero's levels backwards, splitting the campaign of 5 between 3 characters means that the 20 missions get spread very thin, with little room to explore each character's move set in the first play through.

talking about atmosphere and environment DmC is best to me imo. but the hate on game is too much and I cant find any positive conversation about it.

@@provpaw2 Well it has the second-best Steam score of the entire series, only a couple of percentage points behind *_DMC5_* at 95%. So it's definitely well-liked by the players, a few loud-mouth brats aside. And deservedly so. I'd put it right behind *_DMC4_* for environments and atmosphere.
