Donkey Kong 64 Epic Orchestral Halloween Medley

Like most gamers, I'm a fan of Grant Kirkhope! Since his work is so incredibly well themed, I decided I would be creating some seasonal orchestral arrangements based on Donkey Kong and Banjo Kazooie. This is my DK64 Epic Halloween Medley. This remix contains 4 themes from the game that are reminiscent of the "Halloween" aesthetic, as perfected by Danny Elfman in his various movie soundtracks. Most of the DK and BK tracks lend well to this theme.

Interesting. Both Banjo Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64 are games made by Rare, so it's only natural that they would feel rather similar.

Can't begin to tell you how amazing this is. DK64 is one of my favorite games. I also loved that each level had different variations of the theme. Creepy castle for some reason is one of my favorite themes. The ballroom in particular. Id love to see a whole Creepy Castle suite one day. Awesome work!

I agree! For some unknown reason I loved spending time in the ballroom...the swinging chandeliers, the faint laughter..all very creepy yet intriguing. On a separate note this is an incredible piece you've created, now I've found another great music channel to subscribe to!

I just bought an off-brand clear orange controller. I had always adored the orange N64, you see. It was like orange soda. Green was, naturally, my favorite, though. My top color in anything.

not as big a fan of grant as others since I didn't grow up playing games he did the soundtracks for but this game is the exception and I'm glad cause I do think he adds a touch that others don't really have to video games music and your medley certainly highlights that I mean who else could have four spooky themes like this in one game that isn't explicitly about horror and have it make sense?

There's only one song from DKC1 that I like more, and that's Gangplank Galleon (though it honestly feels wrong to put Aquatic Ambiance in second place on any list of favorite songs). Say, speaking of Gangplank Galleon, have you ever considered covering that song? I've looked all over KZbin for an epic orchestra version of Gangplank Galleon, and I can't find one. You do orchestra and you do Donkey Kong, I bet you could pull it off! If you want to, of course. No matter what, looking forward to hearing more Donkey Kong stuff from you. :)

I came from Fit's video, but I also played DK64 100% completion myself as a young child. Memories were brought back watching it especially considering that Frantic Factory, Gloomy Galleon, and Creepy Castle were my three favorite levels from that game.

Tbh, some parts seemed off throughout the song. I know this is an outdated request but if you remake this song without those hiccups it would be the best remix out there.
