Donkey Kong Country was a favourite of mine when I was younger, I remember being blown away by how amazing the graphics were compared to other games like Super Mario World. One thing that really stood out though was how amazing the soundtrack was, I couldn't actually believe the sounds I was hearing were from my Nintendo at the time.
With DKC2, I never played the game up until last year, I feared that the nostalgia for the first game would ruin my experience with the second game, But it turns out I was wrong about that. DKC2 just improves on what was set out in the first instalment in every way. There were several mechanics in the second game that had me thinking how did they actually pull this off. The same can be said for David Wise and the glorious OST to this game. I remember trying my hardest not to die on the levels just so I could appreciate these masterpieces.
Now I don't want to go stepping on Jammin' Sam Miller's Toes with this remake as I think he did an amazing job at restoring the OST. I just really loved this particular track and really wanted to do my own remake of it.
Whilst putting this track together, I noticed just how short the music is for this level. Surely it's gotta be the shortest track, other than the bonus room tracks.
Anyway I'm happy with how this one turned out. Hopefully gonna get some time soon to have a playthrough of Perfect Dark, I'm looking forward to hearing that games OST.
