This level is extremely challenging for people who have a short concentration span. The second half of this level, especially, has so many surprises. One little lapse in concentration, and it's over for you. On the upside though, if you need to train your concentration, this level is excellent. Aside from that, this level demands so much precision on the player; in a split second you have to understand what kind of obstacle is in front of you, and whether to jump earlier or later.

THAT WAS REAL NERVE WRACKING AND I SCREAMED OUT SO LOUD AND MY FATHER TOLD ME NOT TO BE SO NOISY. I WAS STAYING AT HIS PLACE AT THAT TIME. I USED TO THROW SOME SHOCKING TANTRUMS TRYING TO GET THROUGH SOME VERY HARD GAMES. THESE DAYS I GIVE UP AFTER A WHILE. I DONT HAVE THE PATIENCE I USED TO HAVE. THE WORST LEVEL IN DONKEY KONG COUNTRY WAS THE LAST LEVEL. IM TRYING TO REMEMBER ITS NAME. Jeez. The memories. I LOVED this level. Played it so much that I learned the timing for everything. I was able to beat it once with my eyes closed... just one time, with lots of deaths and restarts. But man, the memories. I wish games were like they were back them. Fun and challenging.

when i was a kid, this level made me completely give up on Donkey Kong Country. Even rediscovering it in adulthood and beating it, I found this to be the most difficult level in the game even compared to the later on rails levels. I love it now though. such a fun and challenging level.

This level is quite legenday and when I played this for the first time on my SNES mini I thought maybe they changed it or something. There are levels near the end of this game, like Platform Perils, that are much harder in my opinion.

This level did _not_ belong so early in the game. It's so punishing, and relies on trial and error so heavily. Guaranteed, this was level was made to devour quarters, and the designers forgot this was for a home entertainment system.

@@Summeryear2008 Jump over the autofire barrel and hook left toward that wall. Voila! You're at the end! Stop & Go Station has one if you go back through the entrance. Snow Barrel Blast has one after the gold Rambi (Rhino) token between two Zingers. Ain the second barrel Northeast or (my preferred method) the third barrel South. Skips that whole rage-quitting barrel blast section that made me throw a controller in '95!

There's one part that's deliberately cruel, and that's where if you have two Kongs, hitting one minecart loses you one Kong, and the remaining one automatically JUMPS and lands on the next minecart immediately after the invincibility frames. Which means, if you hit one, you'll be guaranteed to hit another, no questions asked.

This is a super easy stage jump over the very first barrel and stay to the wall and there is secret barrel that takes you all the way to the end of the stage. This was a super nice job tho.

You know, if you jump into the pit right behind the first blast barrel, you can hit a warp barrel that will take you to the end of the stage with only one enemy to deal with. You might have known that though.
