Despite it’s infirior graphics & sounds,it really pushes the hardware to it’s absolute limit and it even does has all 4 stages,all enemies,all intermission screens and cut scenes in wich even the nes version doesn’t have,heck even the updated nes version from nintendo for the wii in 2010 stilldoes lack many contents,what a shame , Am amezed that this version even does have the actual digitized cover art of that game,considering the primitive hardware,so this us definitely amezing.

There are very few games that make me miss the color clash mess that most spectrum games were. Alien 8 and Knight Lore were the only ones to brag about... mostly. Meanwhile my C64 friends had all the 3 channel Hubbard/Galway/Huelsback soundtracks and lots of color going on :-(

There are some awesome modern games that have colour characters and no clash by using a mask, the stuff people are doing now with colour shows how lazy Devs were back then

​@@arostwocentsman, that was literally the first computer and the first 8-bit games, people thought some things could not be done just because somebody (As in creator of that computer) said it ... Timex 2048 / 2068 had extra graphics modes, how many games/demos actually use that? One "Timmy" doesn't count

When I saw this video appear I assumed it was a modern 'bootleg' game. Seems so strange that there was an official Nintendo game on the Spectrum! Is this the only one?

Funny thing is, Ocean originally made a bootlegged version called "Kong" (which is EVEN WORSE than this). Nintendo reached out to them and asked if they could make official ports for the ZX and the MSX.

And DK jr I think. Ice climber maybe too? Kong was absolutely DIRE There is a homebrew spectrum DK multi screen sequel that's amazing. Made with Arcade Game Maker I think

The MSX is the worst version of DK on anything. It's so so so hard. Worse than Intellivision and 2600
