It's not the cameraoperators at fault. Generally there's 1 or 2 long shots and then a few for middle and close up. It's pretty much the (live) editor at fault for not leaving the close ups and crowd shots etc for replays, but trying to work them in immediately, (possibly coz they're not climbers and get bored from showing the actual climb/beta or some other idiotic reason like 'it's not exciting' or w/e) which i really hate. 22 and before was really loads better.

Janja Garnbret has to be one of the most dominant athletes over all disciplines at the moment, if not in history. The way this woman is just basically smurfing in these competitions, making the rest of the world elite look 2 entire leagues behind her, this consistently over so many years is something to behold. I mean she didn't just completely crush this discipline but goes ahead and finishes first in the lead competition too, with this full blown boulder round beforehand. People like Robert James Fisher did somehting remotely close for maybe 2-3 years in the world of chess (being ahead 1-2 leagues of the rest of the field) and he is forever remembered as the GOAT. Nothing but respect for her

Really hyped about Jessi's performance here as well, she's got good chances in Paris Camera work is a fucking mockery of the sport, and I've never heard a guest commentator with so little to say. Even if the camera crew changes, they need ifsc certified coordinators so they stop switching to the camera zoomed in on the left foot everytime there's a crux move. They somehow missed every move on that last boulder it's absurd

It's fun to watch these early battle reports. Baby steps towards the polished product you evolved into. This match was a bit of a thumping, but I think your end of battle analysis was fair. Nighthaunt needed resilience and some hard hitting units in reserve. Maybe hang back with the Mournguls rather than deep strike them and hope for 9's on 2d6. If your game plan is deep strike charges, then good luck.
