Two years ago, I found this video because I really liked this song, and I have always been a big fan of Ms Summer. It was such an inspiration for me as I tried to finish up my last couple of years to get my Bachelor degree in Computer Science. It was a hard time for me. My mom was having open heart surgery and I was struggling with both school, full time work and just keeping a roof over my head. I can remember doing home work in the hospital, at my mother's side. I knew the words to the song ("You aint going down"), but what I was not expecting was for Donna to turn to the camera and say "make me proud, STAND UP AND FIGHT". It felt as if she was talking directly to me. At that point I could not hold back the tears, and I posted a message and a promise on here to Donna. I would make her proud. So I'm back, two years later, just to let you know Donna, I graduated from College this year, and I'm doing fine. God is Good all the time. I hope she knows, somewhere in heaven, just how much this song meant to me. And by the way, my Mom is doing just fine. It's funny, I never get tired of hearing her tell me how proud she is of me. Thanks again Donna Summer. Love you, always. NO MATTER WHAT, "WE AIN'T GOING DOWN".

Very fitting that the title of her last studio album was called "Crayons". Like all the great vocalists of the 20th century in any genre, she used her voice like a painter's brush: from Impressionist to Abstract, she used her God-given voice to paint stories and settings. She was lucky that she received her laurels and praises while she could appreciate them, and she was far more than being the Queen of Disco: her 80's/90's career is a testament to this. This world is all the better and lucky to have captured her outstanding musical contributions, because a talent like hers will never cross this realm again.

Her music must have been a big inspiration for Michael Jackson and other musicians, the feeling I have gotten while listening to her greatest hits. "I Feel Love" is one of the best songs ever written and this is also a very good song, proving she still had powerful voice in the 2000's.

Donna's most recent music was substantially better than most of the crap played on today's Top 40 radio. In this video, she was nearly 60 years old and still sounded and looked amazing! She definitely did a great job of keeping her health issues private. It's just so immensely sad that truly talented, legendary artists are leaving this Earth too soon. However, she's now sharing her beautiful voice in Heaven. May she eternally rest in peace. Her music will undoubtedly live on forever.

If you let anyone tell you that you can't, prove them wrong, now I not only have many accomplishments that are proven, but I had to earn my confidence, a fearlessness that is surprising, even to myself, there are no words that can describe this power, you earn respect, every day, make your life unbelievable, no one else will
