Just ordered one. Hoping I don't have to do evrything you just did. Like you I enjoy working on guitars. Glad I bought the fret leveling kit you used. I don't think they sell them anymore. They worked great.

Thats nice man. 😊👍🏼 Yeah, it is a great instrument and that leveling kit is amazing for the price. Does the job well. 😊 Good luck with your new guitar.

Wow! That was fascinating. Just bought a Burgundy one its got an issue with my Tone Pots and Donner are sending a replacement. Would love to know what you changed? was it the Tone Pots and the Pull switch Volumes? and what did you upgrade to? Also I'm wondering what model Kluson Tuners they are? though I'm sure the kind on my guitar the screw is on an angle and not direct centre bottom like the kinda Grover style on yours? Looks like you installed a Bone nut? Hope you mind the questions I'd appreciate your advice. It looks absolutely awesome with the Bigsby, though not something I would look to do atm. Thank you so much for the Video.

Hi, i thank you for the comment. I changed absolutely everything. I put montys 50s wiring set, tonerider pickups. Kluson tunner, with 90 degree. But comare to your and it is easy to find one that fit. I installed bone nut, but later i changed it for graphtech, because of Bigsby. It is a great guitar and o really hope that you will enjoy yours. 😊

@@shuttervuleinguitarroom Thank you, yeah I've got some Grover's Tuners ordered but sent a Video to Donner re Tone Pot they agree it's defective and will replace the guitar without needing to return the original. Wow! Incredible service. I will install a new nut likely Bone but I'll ask my Luthier. Thank you for your reply.

Why did you level the frets? Were they buzzing? Was the truss rod functioning?
@shuttervuleinguitarroom7 ай бұрын
I like to fret level frets to all my new guitars..to get low low slonky action 😊 Frets were fine, but i like to set up everything to my preferences 😊 Yes, truss rod working fine 😊

@shuttervuleinguitarroom Жыл бұрын
They were ceramic, but sound fine imo. 🙂 I dont have them anymore so I cant give you specs

wich hollow body do you think is better the donner or the vintage VSA,wanted to get one for my uncle to upgrade
@shuttervuleinguitarroom Жыл бұрын
I think that Donner is better choice overall. Better build quality, better neck imo. 😊

I dont know. I didnt look for them for a long time. 🤷🏽♂️

@@shuttervuleinguitarroom I bought one in each finish but donated one. Kept the black and sunburst. Put Seymour Duncan PUs in the black one. I think I'll hold on to them. Who know's might be worth something as they do play amazingly well and great sound. Teamed it up with a Zoom GX1-Four.

yeah, it's funny. I see reviews on these guitars all the time but I don't see them for sale anywhere
@robertcalef424211 ай бұрын
@@localtrust I bought one in each color, 3 all together. They are fine instruments and I had one redone with Seymoud Duncan PUs. Going to hold onto them. Who knows they might be revered in 10-20 years. If not, they're still gorgeous and well constructed. Combined mine with a Zoo X1G.

That was brutal to see. Working through the F hole is difficult. Even if the guitar is inexpensive there's ways to protect the finish and more skilled way to go through the F hole. Good video though.
@shuttervuleinguitarroom Жыл бұрын
It was my first time to work through f-hole. Anyway, I'm satisfied with results. No scratches at all 😊
