Hello!

What string gauge do you think is best for this guitar?

comes with 10s really punchy not chymie at all if you wanna go beyond I think you shouldn't go beyond 11s to keep the neck in check . AND 10s are just perfect, I ll personally go a low to 9s , coz it doesnt have a soundbox it has a pickup the resonance is superb in the guitar so there is no dead zone on the entire body so you can fatten the tone from amp settings and enjoy the electric guitar style slinky feel and easier play without compromising on the sound.

Usually the payment for this type of thing is the equipment they're reviewing is given to them free for review, in this case the guitar, but not additional money.

UPDATE - Donner's latest reply, copy pasted from their email: "To solve the problem, we would like to offer you 35 EUR to fix the problem locally. The refund would be returned to your payment account within 24-48 business hours. Is it acceptable to you?" Of course. Because replacing a truss rod will definitely cost me about 40 bucks and not 500. And yeah, I'm definitely going to take my instrument - that no one knows how to fix yet - to a shady music repair shop instead of activating my 3 year warranty on a 300 plus dollar guitar. Stellar service. Thank you Donner, for nothing. I maintain what I said before: I will NEVER buy from Donner again. NEVER. Donner offers a European 3 year warranty (immediate replacement in case of any issues, not caused by misuse or user error) that apparently is good for absolutely nothing. When you ask to have your equipment replaced they offer you a 35 euro refund on a 329 euro device and send you on your merry way. Amazing... ORIGINAL COMMENT: Yeah... cool guitar but extremely unhelpful customer support. It was the last time I bought anything from Donner. I'm having truss rod adjustment issues (the nut doesn't turn) and they are asking for a video proving it doesn't turn. It's like Aliexpress sellers when you don't receive your order and they ask for a photo proving you never got the item... Donner customer support couldn't care less about your issues. You either get lucky or you get a lemon. I got a lemon and I'm stuck with it.

@@zburator yes. It was bought on Amazon Spain and for support I was told to contact Spanish/European Donner. Turns out the only person who stepped up and solved my issue by sending me a new guitar free of charge, was the Amazon Seller. I hadn't contacted them because Amazon had released them from any responsibility, since the 30 day return window was gone (I was automatically forwarded to Donner EU). However, I decided to shoot my shot, ignore Donner and Amazon, and, in the end, the seller was nothing but helpful. In my case, the outcome was extremely positive. But I cannot, in good conscience, ever recommend Donner as a brand.
