Surely the piezo is only a ribbon type, so you could quite easily sand down the base of the bridge a little if you needed to reduce the action a little.

Yes you can. I have one and did exactly that.

You can remove the saddle and sand the bottom of it if you want to lower the action. At your own risk

I think so. If you turn up the volume you can push the gain without an amp. Or you can plug into an amp or pedal.
