Sugar Ray leanard was one of the all time greats with power and speed all together plus he was a smart fighter as well I knew Ray was gonna win that fight even though he went up against a light heavy weight and the golden boy fail to relize that was a man size and power has nothing to do with you being a man and that's why I knew Ray was gonna win by knock out

Curiously Donny doesnt mention being contractually obliged to fight Ray at 168lbs instead of his natural 175lbs.

He knew the score. Leonard wasn't going to make his last match would be a loss to some white guy. This would have been such an easy fight for any true light heavyweight. It was a dive.

What it did do is have my camp - my trainer - concerned about me making weight, and I think it affected our training schedule and focus on weight verses strategy and preparation.
