I took a train from Chicago to San Francisco with a tour group about 10 years ago and one of our side trips was to Las Vegas where we would spend two nights to enable us to hit the casinos. I don't drink and I don't gamble so visiting the casinos wasn't something I was very interested in doing so while others in my tour were casino hopping, the first night there I went to see Terry Fator (great show, BTW) and I wanted to see Donny and Marie. To my very great disappointment, both of the nights I could have seen them, they were having nights off. I had a great trip and I loved seeing Terry Fator but I regret not being able to see Donny and Marie because I'm sure that was as close as I will ever come to being able to catch their show. Bummer! Thanks for posting this. What a nice man Donny is!

So he told her he was flying her down to his concert a day early and was going to take her out to dinner, then attend the concert the next day and then file on his plane with him back to Provo. That is much more than just a home visitation and shows that Donnu really cares about his fans. Isn't it interesting that a man is an expert on post-partum depression! I sort of lost all my respect for Tom Cruise when he made that moronic jump onto Oprah's couch. Not sure whether that proves he is childish or that he is just plain stupid! Also, I sort of didn't need to hear him go all gaga over the new love of his life when he had already been married multiple times before and one of those exes was the mother of his children. And of course now he has apparently decided that the "love of his life" is no longer the "love of his life" because he has moved on to bigger and better things. I missed seeing Marie telling him to shut up but you would have thought that after Brooke Shields cut him off at the ankles for the same thing, he would have learned to keep his mouth shut.

I cried through this! My 10-year-old daughter discovered Donny recently after watching Claim to Fame (one of his relatives was on the show). She asked about him and I showed her some old KZbin videos. She fell for him about as hard as this woman did when she was young. So much that, all she wanted for her 11th birthday was to see Donny in Vegas. No presents. No party. Just Donny. So, just she and I went to Sin City ... we weren't able to do the pre-show, unfortunately. I felt bad about that. But, during the first or second song, an usher taps us and asks if we'd like to sit on the front row! Next thing I know, he's doing a duet with my little girl. He thought I was the fan but, when he saw that she new every word of "Go Away Little Girl" he learned quick... Taylor Swift doesn't hold a candle to Donny Osmond...at least not in my little girl's eyes. Sorry for rambling. Just wanted to share another birthday made forever special because of his kindness.

I love how Donny was behind her chair and moved ever so slightly when she moved and then called her name. I feel I am still in the '80's but I was born in 1962 and grew up with The Osmonds, the Jackson Five, Donny and Marie.
