Michael rang him just before he died saying basically that everything was about to hit the fan and that he didn't want anyone to know where he was, he needed to be away from everything. If you watch his live performance of this song on the today show with Hoda and Jenna, you’ll see how thin he actually is. Also, Rosie admitted herself that she blew that whole situation out of proportion for ratings since it was funny. Her and Donny are close friends so obviously there were no hurt feelings. Also, the only fat jokes made to Marie were back during the Donny & Marie show days where it was part of the script that they didn’t write. While Donny and Marie like to jokingly insult each other, they never say anything truly hurtful to the other like weight shaming.

She may be talking about the general look of his performance that those of us who are lifelong fans (45+ yrs of admiration) recognize and appreciate as Donny Osmond. That's how we were able to instantly identify the peacock in "The Masked Singer" as Donny. His moves may be simple, but WOW, he looks great doing them!

"You" has a beautiful contemporary pop sound that fits right into today's modern pop world of 2021. I would love to see him in Vegas. haha listening to this and my 20 year old son came in and asked what i was listening to, I told him and said donny's a grandpa and he said "that doesnt sound like a song a grandpa would sing", then he told me to send it to my daughter who's 24 and said she would like it. Yes, I'm an "older woman'...grew up in the 70s and Donny was the poster I always hung up when I got my new Tiger Beat magazine. That being said, I adore him for decades of making music and entertainment. He's doing this because loves it, and it shows. I have loved this man for over 45 years. He makes me feel young again. Only difference is, I don't have to buy a new needle for my record player because I played his albums so often. I met him in Vegas and he was as gracious and kind as I imagined he would be. Thanks for making new music, Donny. Show 'em how it's done.

You went through a really rough patch in the 80s; I was in high school at the time, graduated in '87. During those years, when it wasn't cool to like the Osmonds (especially not you😕), I put pictures of Osmond albums on the front of all my paperbag-covered school books. A photo of the Donald Clark Osmond album was on one of them - Science, I think. It's my absolute favorite album of yours; I often pull it out of my KZbin library and play it while I put myself together in the morning. I was NEVER embarrassed or ashamed to say I loved your work. In fact, being an Osmond fan was what I was known for. My deepest apologies, Donny, for not taking time to write to you during those difficult years to make you aware that you had a loyal, die-hard army standing with you. We were always out there. We always will be. Thank you for riding the storm out. Thank you for staying true to your morals. And please thank Debbie for sharing you with us!🥰
