Hit 👍 if you love happy endings! First time a polar bear has ever asked a human for help. So the man attempts to remove the can, but he discovers that the tongue is actually stuck in the can. The team came in on a helicopter. All bad ass and stuff. They tranquilize it, they remove the can and check this out. They brought the bear fish snacks. So we had something to eat when he woke up. All groggy and stuff.

@Audio and whips I was under the impression during hibernation their bodily functions are severely lessened and they burn through less calories because of it to try and sustain themselves through winter, it’s pretty likely I was underestimating the time but I don’t think this bear has been stuck with the can on it’s tongue for anywhere near as long as a month or more
@twistedoldloony
@twistedoldloony Жыл бұрын
@@swordfish350I imagine that dehydration would get it way before starvation. I think bears drink similar to how dogs and cats do by using the tip of their tongue to draw a column of water into their mouths. The can would make that really hard to do! Could get some water just by sticking their face in but without being able to draw their tongue all the way in it could be hard to swallow.

@@raphaellavictoria01 that's the big debate though, right? They will eat us but if we weren't in their space, we wouldn't be there for them to eat us. Not that I'm saying it's OK. Obviously not. But it's not exactly like they wake up and think, "hmm, I really want manflesh today. Time to hunt!" It's more that if they come across people in the right...well I guess wrong circumstances, then lunch is served. But ultimately, whose fault is it? Same for all animal predators who end up killing people. I'm not criticizing your comment, sorry. I just wish there was an easy solution and no people or animals would have to get hurt or die.

The one that sticks in my mind the most was the Bull Elephant in Africa that had a spear from some god cursed poacher stuck in its ear. @@thisiscait It suits us to see animals as 'lesser' - less intelligent, less feeling, less worthwhile.Why? Because it makes it easier to beat our dogs then throw them on the street. To raise animals in the most evil, sickening conditions then make them endure a terrifying end. It enables us to look down on them and make laws that make it acceptable to kill young animals before they've even finished growing. Facing up to just how smart, kind, funny, protective etc animals are would mean we'd need to face what scum humans are to treat them as we do.

@@thisiscait so what, back when we were "part of the food chain" we were hunted by most large predators. our children were hunted by most predators in general. Lions will kill the cubs of other lions in their pride so their offspring are the ones to get nurtured. Nature is cruel, and sure we are animals just the same as anythign else on this planet, but that changes nothing, we sit the throne, we rule the planet, earth is a kingdom, and humanity is king, kings were people just like everyone they ruled, but they still ruled. this planet was a battleground for dominance hundreds of thousands of years ago, and when homo sapiens showed up, we were one of 7 "human" species. now its only us. we have bled and died to escape the ruthless world that is the natural cycle on this planet. Animals are not our equals. dogs and cats arent our equals, they are family and pets, but they are still our slaves at the end of the day, thats what domestication is, its slavery, and I fully approve of it.

Mother bear teaches her cub: "if something happens to you, like, I don't know ... If I had to pick a hypothetical scenario, if you were eating the last bit of food out of a can you found in those boxes that the humans keep trash in, and let's just imagine you get your tongue stuck in it, and you can't get it out on your own, what you should do then is find someone who has thumbs. Otters technically count, but they don't like us, for ... Reasons. Anyway, your best bet is a human, because they're the only primate in this climate. Best case scenario is you wake up, the can is gone, and then you see some fish snacks, just sitting there. If there are no fish snacks when you wake up, you should, again, find a human, preferably a chubby one with a pronounced limp, but I'll tell you more about that when you're older, now go brush your teeth and no game boy! I love you, have a good night."

This actually happened in July 2022 in the north of Russia. The young bear was saved by specialists of the Moscow Zoo. She herself came to the village for help, but the man on the video could not help her. Therefore, a team from Moscow Zoo was assembled to the rescue. The bear was strewn, the jar was removed, the tongue itself was not heavily damaged. Then the beast was taken to 100 km from the village, to prevent her from returning to people. Also they left her food, because she obviously could not hunt in the next few days. In Russia, white bears are guarded, their population are actively monitored.
