At one time, almost all Gaza's people had Egyptian citizenship. what's up with that?

A significant number of Israelis were Poles, Slovaks, Russians, Czechs, Hungarians, Austrians, and Germans, and increasingly Americans, Canadians, South Africans, British and Australian. What’s up with that?

So the “donors” (Wall Street) can coerce universities to what can be said? I guess they may also decide what goes into the syllabus. I love US democracy...

Being critical of Israel or Israelites does not make one anti-Semitic, nor does it preclude criticism of the actions of Hamas (and such criticism do not make one anti-Arab). Two or more things can be true at the same time.

You don’t immediately respond to a massacre of 1,300 Jewish men, women, and children by defaulting to criticizing Israel. Psycho.

Exactly. These people are completely delusional. They play right into their governments' scapegoat narratives. Doesn't take a lot of brain cells to figure this one out.

Respectfully, being in disagreement with the Israeli State or their action in Gaza or opposed to the endless occupation of Palestinian territories does not mean antisemitism. Being opposed to the dehumanizations of Palestinians does not equal antisemitism. Let’s focus on ending the eternal circle of violence. It can be done. They were coexisting before 1948. Sincerely.

Calling for the eradication of all Jews and the destruction of an entire country is not the same thing as disagreeing with a country- and the hatred people are experiencing on campus as Jews shows that this is an issue of bigotry as well, not just some political debate. The Nazis also argued that their issue with Jews was a political one, one of an issue with “Bolsheviks.” Jewish people aren’t the ones conflating the two, others who are making people feel frightened to walk around on campus are. People have been beaten and stabbed just for looking Jewish and have been told it was a celebration to watch Jewish children being tortured. This isn’t a joke and should be taken seriously. Politics are just that and people can have opinions- when it rises to bigotry and violence against individuals for no other reason than their ethnicity, the writing is on the walls.

@@loneohoneonesevenseven3673 Unfortunately, again and again, wrong and misguided beliefs. Too long to straighten up. Having said that, what Zionism is doing to Palestinians is what Hitler tried to do to the jews. Back in history, there was never problems between jews and inhabitants of Arabic countries: Christians and Muslims. During inquisition, jews seemed refuge in these countries. Muslim rulers had Jewish vizirs (advisors) Did you know it was a Jewish advisor who challenged Christian coptics in Egypt to displace the Mokattam hill, because Jesus said: “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20-21).” See they were all living in harmony before Zionism. Funny, even Jews opposed to the slaughter of Palestinians, are called anti-Semite. I wish you luck my friend. I also hope that this answer will not be removed by KZbin.

Maybe colleges should think twice about who they take donations from in the future only thing going on here trying to bring an end to free speech. To me if Jewish kids don't feel safe they should think about going to college in isra

This sounds like they want to eliminate all criticism of the Israeli government on these campuses. This comes across as Wall Street donors wanting universities to put these students in their place.

Donors can send their children to Brandeis, or to any other Jewish institution of higher learning. Eliyu Yale was not a Jew, and Jews had no role in establishing any Ivy League college. These universities will go on for generations educating the best and brightest in our country without their philanthropy.
