No, private universities rely on fundraising from alumni greatly. If Jewish alumni and supporters of Israel can withhold their donations to the universities, it will be felt tremendously. Why should Jewish people give so much money out of their good will to universities where the professors (like Joseph Massad of Columbia) and students are showing so much anti-Israel hatred? Incidentally, Hamas was even sponsored by Israel for a while when they left Gaza completely a couple of years ago. They did this because they didn't want a unified Palestinian government to form. So, literally divide and conquer, but that has backfired spectacularly in the terrible October terrorist attack.
