I’ve used the Snow Peak titanium pot for about 20 years. It doesn’t have the measuring marks on it, nor the locking lid. This one looks really nice.

Yea I was shocked it had all these features especially at this price

This video is NOT sponsored by Stanley pots ;p Jokes aside, this is a great find! Thanks for sharing. And it’s lovely to see your bike in the background by the way. Cheers.

I wonder if there is a coffee press that would fit this.

I keep buying stoves because I find each of them have something I like I really like this just a little too tall for me but that is needed when using gas. Great kit

I bought a ~$30 Toaks Titanium Pot 750ml 4 years ago and its been plenty for me. Perfect for a cup of tea or a cup of noodle/chili. Also comes with a nice soft case to take care of it. Weighs 102 grams!

Yea I was looking at that before this, just wanted the locking lid and handle built in

Been caught between buying the stanley pot or dropping the $50 on a Snow Peak titanium pot, so this video feels very targeted to me.

That whole line looks pretty good on price. Anything else one should grab? or is just this single cookpot + burner enough "kitchen gear" for a weekend to week long bike packing for 1-2 people? Just starting out with bikepacking. Only one trip so far, and other couple on the trip did all the cooking. Don't mind waiting on the aliexpress shipping as we won't be doing it again till the spring.

They have a huge range you can check out, I haven’t seen it all yet. I’d say if it’s two people for more then a few days I’d say you both get one, unlesss you split each meal. It heats up enough for two , but you may want two servings at the end of the day, so if you don’t mind waiting you can probably fit two of the burner cans I showed in this video

Hey Mr LockedIn just some constructive criticism. Firstly if the review is a comparison with a Stanley Cookpot then it would have been nice to see one. A visual comparison would have been good. Secondly you should review your intro. Basically you repeated yourself twice about ‘watch this video’ and what the review was sort of about. I do like your presentation style (I’m a sub), but the intro just jarred a bit with me. Best wishes

Soooooo... Twice the price, no extras (such as cups) or anything and a very little difference in weight??? Sure it may hold more volume, but be serious; you are just boiling water & most freeze dried meals only take 2cups or less to rehydrate.
@LockedinCycling Жыл бұрын
So it’s a lot lighter for just the cookpot since I don’t need the extras in the Stanley and no I’m actually cooking meals in it. I don’t buy the over priced freeze dried stuff. I’ll cook a can of soup, beans and rice, and other meals in it , if I just needed to boil water sure u can use so many other options.

I use my Stanley Adventure Cookware daily. The nested cups makes it nice for hot liquids (coffee, tea, or coco) and yes it can cook simple hiking meals. The weight difference is negligible if you exclude the cups so the only downside - for me - is not being able to throw it directly on a fire to clean off burnt food. Both, titanium and stainless steel has a place.
