I do the same with other products, I just watched a video where they were trying different flavors of Spam, I don't care for Spam but the video was fun 🙂

Interesting differences. One thing you might want to check would be if the new one still nests inside the GSI and/or Wall-mart SS cup. The older one could fit inside one of these cups, giving you two containers instead of just the one for the same space. I do like the new lid. I heard of issues with melting the older lid tab because it is plastic.

It fits. I have it along with a titanium Trangia style stove with cross bars for it and a green canvas pouch/carry case I got off of Etsy for $35. Nice little setup overall 🦾

The new pot at the base is 1/4 inch larger. 3 3/4 inch dia.

@@planetsideagent at that size it most likely doesn't fit. With the old one it's not a forced fit but just the right size to fit snuggly inside those cups.

I never thought about it but a good point since the shipper and the distance traveled can be tough on an item. I just watched a video where the guys shipped a bunch of Spam from the US to the UK, one can was really dented but still eatable another was a goner.

I cook couscous for my first cook in the new Wildfare Go 2 Cup Cook Set, wasn't impress with. I might could mix some in with some Ramen. That Nalgene bottle will fit in the older one but it's a press fit. Thanks for sharing.

I have both the old one and this new one. In my humble opinion, I prefer the new version and think it's worth upgrading. The new one is $20 at REI which is about the same price as the old one. I also purchased three other Wildfare items as well. I really like the Wildfare skillet because it's try-ply through and through and not just the bottom. If you liked with the old style , you'll love the new one.

I like the larger size. Stanley makes solid gear, I've used their thermos for decades, same ones. 🙂

If only one cup fit further down into the other cup. Yes one would be small but it would open up for more inside storage while hiking.

I got the old one I haven't seen the new one yet . My grandsons love it when we go camping. Why is Walmart dropping them tho . I don't see the Stanley stuff that much?

I bought my first on a Walmart. Have you look at there web site, they carry many more items than their stores, many come with free shipping.

Yes, It slips in down to the handle, so leaves a little space at the bottom. Your comment sparked me to do video on the subject. It may be out later today. 🙂

Wish the cups were same color as original. The color of new cup is ugly. The original forest green was pretty. Maybe Stanley should have a choice of cup colors.

I don't know why people love watching shit come out of a box and then watching the KZbin fumble around with it, I'd rather see 2, 6 or 12 month reviews and know the pros and cons.

I'm not a fan but as one commenter said he like to see how its package to get an idea of how it will handle shipping. I makes since if you are at the end of the supply chain.
