I'm gonna be totally honest here. I bought the game after watching this and played it on Spanish. Even though I only understood about 10 to 15 percent of what everyone said I still thought it was epic. No seriously, spanish Donté is actually quite badass. When I tried to play the game on English afterwards I couldn't stand the guy. It is remarkable how a simple language change can improve this game. I just wish someone made a full mod of this complete with music like this in the game. Hell, if they ever made a sequel (unlikely) they should definitely make this a game mode.

@@elecman748 From what I can understand of the Spanish script (I don’t speak it very well), it’s preeetty much the English one word for word, so the edge is pretty inherent there. Forgive me if I’m being ignorant on that. But! The major difference is that the Spanish VA for Dante sounds so fun-loving. Yeah he’s got edgy lines, but the bouncy tone he delivers them in make the character feel like a different person. His inflection sounds a lot like main series DMC Dante. Maybe the music is also to thank for that! I’m sure the language barrier does play a huge part as well, though!!

The fucked up part is, apparently this is what Capcom _wanted._ They thought that if they told Ninja Theory to go full Edgelord Overhaul on the franchise -- against Ninja Theory's own attempts to not change literally everything -- then they might make God of War numbers. As you might guess, this bombed SPECTACULARLY, and Ninja Theory took the heat on it for years. Fortunately, we eventually got Devil May Cry 5, which sold by far the best out of the whole series, showing once and for all that, no, as the love for Donte here shows, _people love cheese._ The cheese is what we're here for. Melt another fuckin' block of pepperjack over the top, we're going to put Wisconsin to shame.

@@InchonDM That's true, Ninja Theory was told to reboot the series, but they wanted to keep it closer to the original (there are a lot of concept arts of Dante with his normal colors - white hair and red coat), but Capcom told them to make it way way different and in western style. NT still tried to do something kinda unique, especially looking at the 2010 E3 trailer, which showed Dante being way more serious, full of angst and kinda emo-like. But the fans outrage made them change his appearance and Capcom forced them to make Dante be "badass" so they had to put a shit ton of one-liners here and there. As a result, we got a game that doesn't really know what it wants to be.

they should make this mod into the next DmC game as an unlockable option in the language menu if you beat the game on hard level, you unlock "Spanish" in the language settings and it creates mustaches on charaters, switches the original soundtrack to mexican and spanish instrumental action songs (like what's playing under this video), and of course, everyone is speaking spanish. I don't know what's the deal with spanish-speaking people and stereotypes, but certainly this is not mexican, but spanish from Spain. In fact, El Zorro's history is about a spanish-born masked hero living in Los Angeles during Spanish rule era. So, everything you're listening in this video is spain-spanish, not mexican...
