So something you might have missed and for context is that when optimus transforms originally in the barn, you hear him faintly say "Get Down, Sam" this is because Cemetary Wind hunted Sam and his GF a few weeks after Dark of the Moon along with any other Transformers, it was also their way of writing Shia out of the movies after he had his mental break but also confirms that Sam is dead and that Optimus on some level feels anger at Cemetary Wind and remorse for not being able to save his friend

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Dark of the Moon and Age of Extinction are my favorites too. And I grew up in the 80s with G1 so I don't get all the division between G1 and Bay fans. I like both. Except for The Last Knight which is garbage. But would have maybe been the best Bay film (not best Transformers....but best Bay film overall) if they'd stuck to their original concept. It sounded amazing and they changed it and screwed it up for some idiotic reason..

To give you some lore. Optimus Prime wasn’t always Optimus Prime. His original name was Orion Pax, he was a librarian and was actually friends with Megatron until Megatron got too close to Megatronus aka The Fallen. And then one day Megatron killed Orion Pax and one of the gods of Cybertron(the home of the transformers) rebuilt Orion into Optimus. And he went through training and earned the title of “Prime” 🙌

That didn’t happen he was working at a factory where his name was Orion Pax and megatron and they became friends and megaton was planning to steal stuff from the factory on cybertron and Orion said no then megatron killed Orion and auto bots took him to medical center where vector sigma made him into a prime and that is how he became a prime👍

Back in the day i used to watch "beast war machine transformers", wich was "primitive" transformers. And when this movie came out, the dinasours was the most close we had to that era ('90/2000). I absolutely enjoyed this film. Also, stanley tucci (wich is like a rippoff of steve jobs) adds that comedic timing and he's hilarious. He's also the presenter of Hunger games, the one who enterviews the tributes in Capitol City.

Actually, fun fact when prime held the sword he undergoes a transformation, it turns out that knightly form is his cybertronian(true) form and the third movie, he was held back and had to use human weapons(the trailer, the thing that carries his jet pack and weapons) and the enemies he fought are in their cybertronian form(example is sentinel when he transformed after killing iron hide his weapons merged with him like it was manifested in his body) and for prime i dont know if it was the 4th or 5th movie when it is shown the same for his shield and sword being stored inside him

The last half of this is so underrated. It's basically the movie version of the G1 episode The Key to Vector Sigma. The KSI drones are basically the Stunticons and bringing Grimlock and the Dinobots in to stop them is absolutely the type of thing that would have happened in G1....though I don't think it was the Dinobots who defeated the Stunticons in that episode. I can't remember..
