Don’t Tell the Bride is a wedding show like no other; instead of the wedding you want, it’s the wedding you’ll never forget - hopefully for all the right reasons! Each episode follows a couple through the entire process of organising a wedding, but the twist is that the bride has absolutely no involvement. For better or for worse, she has agreed to hand overall control of the wedding to the groom. She has no idea where she’s getting married, who is turning up or even what she is wearing until the big day itself. The couples are separated for the month leading up to the big day and the groom has to pull off the whole thing in secret. Will the relationship survive the strain? Will the groom succeed in pulling together the perfect wedding? And is his idea of perfection anywhere near hers?

True they won’t be able to pick up their dream dress but a radioactive yellow? They just trust that their partner has a common sense but 95% don’t. Asking the shop attendant to help picking the dress just telling their partner figure and their taste would at least guarantee a decent dress which I guess is the maximum expectation in this program. I’m also surprised that so many men go with a ridiculous theme wedding when no bride wants it because in the end a themed wedding ends up being about the groom not the both of them.

These videos from the DTTB, just started to pop up in my feed. I do not know why, as I am not young, I am not a bride-to-be, and have been married for 32 years. With that said, I am not familiar with the exact premise of this reality show, but gather that the groom-to-be selects the dress for the bride-to-be. I do not know any of the other requirements. However, these dresses are a joke. A mockery. Is that what this is supposed to be? Making the wedding an absurdity? Displaying the bride-to-be as an object of ridicule? I would not marry the cad who would select such monstrosities, as it is obvious they do not love, cherish or honor their intended.

Publicly humiliating an attractive young lady by making her look hideous and clownish--for their wedding!--is not love. If she did go through with that marriage, I doubt it will last. The premise of the show is that the groom is given a sum of money and with that he has to plan the entire wedding. She doesn't know anything about the plans until the wedding itself. Most of the grooms to be either think only of what they want, or don't know their future wife well enough to understand what they would like.

for the horror dress I think if he had a red sort of dip dye effect on the train it could have been better, but still I'm not sure she would have liked it.The leotard was a ducking disaster. Not true at all. She had the most confidence of all of them and was therefore the least ruffled. I don’t think he should have chosen that theme (hot tubs) but she knew that he was wacky, was not trying to embarrass her and would be dressed similarly himself. The day in general was shambolic but she didn’t let it get to her.

Instead of signing up fpr this show to have the wedding paid for because you have no money, get a nice plain 2 piece costume, or a nice formal dress, get married in the court house, have a nice dinner with just the close family and the people who had to be there as witnesses and be done with it. Save a bit of money each month and then in 10 years or so, if still together, have the wedding with the right dress and tux and reception.
