Because he has a script when he's sitting down staring right into the camera; he's able to plan the way he says everything including the speed and inflections in his voice, and even make the script flow as smoothly as he wants being able to do as many takes as necessary. Out in the field he's basically thinking on the spot and has to come up with things off the top of his head, it's harder to be funny and uppity all the time in person

Don't forget, When you Upgrade the stopping power of your brakes, you need to Upgrade the tires. The brakes will only work as well as much tire traction you have. @wiciuwiciu2783 Жыл бұрын
@@reaganharder1480 sometimes the weakest link is our head. In my Fiesta ST i rev it mostly to 4k max. But when it's revved over 5,5k and I'm not brakeing gently but sharply. Oh boi oh boi! Even funnier. I upgraded the tyres to the best I could afford and it is insane! 80km/h in corner with speed limit of 30 (mountain twisty road) . Like earlier I have skidded there at 50km/h with older tires
@lolzlolz69 Жыл бұрын
Not necessarily. Depends what tyres you are already running. Most half decent cars already come with decent tyres in the first place. When I put a big brake kit on my car I didn't touch the tyres and the stopping power was still insane compared to stock.

Story time. Its my sophomore year of highschool, and i worked all summer for my grandparents to buy my first running car, a white 1985 Bronco across the street. The sellers let me test drive a few times, and something felt a little bit... tacky on the throttle. Otherwise, i was in love. Fast forward to 3 minutes after i sign a bill of sale, im driving it back home through town with my dad behind me. Going up a hill, i floored it so i could enjoy my good ol 302 V8.... gave it the beans and THE THROTTLE CABLE GOT STUCK WIDE THE FUCK OPEN. I didn't know i could drop it in neutral. I thought if i did, this engine would blow up before i could stop and turn off the car, and i just bought the thing. So i slapped the bitch in low gear and stood on the brake pedal with both feet for over a mile through town. Blew through a busy stop and thankfully everyone heard the horn. I killed the momentum on an uphill enough to put it in reverse and then park. I got out and the brake rotors were glowing orange-yellow, and they melted the brake lines. Could've fooled me, because that thing cornered like a god damn hero that day. Replaced the brakes and drove it for a few more years.
@jeffrichards15373 жыл бұрын
My mom had an 85 bronco. Only parts that would work on it were from 85. From 82 to 84 bronco 2's were compatible. And 86 to 92 i think worked but 85's were an experimental year that did have many shared parts.

Would've been nice to get a more in-depth breakdown on brakes in general: 1. Master cylinder + booster to caliper piston diameter ratios. 2. Dry boiling points vs. wet boiling points of brake fluids. 3. Brake pad feel (i.e. linear, progressive, grabby vs. smooth) 4. Steel rotors are made to last longer at the expense of not dissipating heat as easily and having lower coefficient of friction. Iron rotors dissipate heat better, have higher friction, but wear faster and weigh more.

The concept of "as pressure increases, so does temperature" along with the inverse "as pressure decreases, so does temperature" is also the basis of pretty much every refrigeration system out there. I didn't know the importance of brake fluid until I went to my first HPDE event at a high speed track (Portland International Raceway, home to F1 and NASCAR events). By the end of one round, the brakes were done, but it wasn't the pads/rotors. I had upgraded those to be able to cope with occasional track use and yeah, they got hot, but they weren't even stinky. It was the fluid. I'd only used regular DOT3 brake fluid and even though I'd completely flushed out the system with new fluid when I upgraded the pads and rotors, the fluid wasn't up to even 15 minutes of road course use. As soon as your brake fluid starts to boil, the pedal just goes to the floor and you're pretty much done for the day (you have to bleed the brakes since the boiling fluid introduces gases into the system, and gases compress).

Had 281 mm with thickness of 22mm disc on my mitsubishi (1170kg and 213HP&280NM) with one pot caliper , and they were "burning" even on "hard" street racing (braking from ~220kmph to ~0), i swaped them to 294 disc, 24mm thickness high carbon ones on two pot caliper and they never disappointed me, even on race track.

Nice use of the 1998 West Mclaren-Mercedes MP4/13. Mika Häkkinen's world championship car. From one of the few races that didn't allow for the tobacco brand to be on the car in name, but logo was somehow still ok. This car is one that I'll ever forget, because 1998 is the first year I watched F1. And as somebody who's always been a Mercedes fan as a child, you can imagine what team I was rooting for.
