Hey people may be “bitching” that it ain’t a new episode and I get that, but i appreciate this directors cut with more detail and depth. The whole point is since I can’t enjoy doing this myself due to lack of money/space/time at least being able to watch someone else get to clearly just enjoy themselves. It’s not content for sake of content but content that you enjoy making. That’s the true purpose, what is art without soul? @wutang5795Ай бұрын

@LiWo0228 күн бұрын
Exactly. Beating a stock street type-r should be fairly easy. K20 + turbo + suspension, tyres + weight reduction and you are faster.
@blazervol335716 күн бұрын
That's what I was wondering. Shouldn't even need a turbo with that budget though. Really get some solid suspension components and get them fine tuned, upgrade the brakes, get about 260whp from the k20, and do some weight reduction and it should easily beat a type R for far less than 50k. Perfect example of more money than sense

@Postal2684 ай бұрын
Just a side note with the stereo, with these small hatchback cars you can actually get away with just a cheap small sub/amp combo especially since 99% of civics these days already have an aftermarket headunit in them. Even if you don't have an aftermarket one already, you can get a cheap Bluetooth/radio only one for around $30. I slapped a sub/amp combo in both of my CRX's going with the cheapest ones I could find and they definitely improve sound quality drastically even with keeping the stock speakers (or if they're blown using the cheapest replacements) and the total upgrade costs around $100 ($125 for me cause I had to replace blown stock speakers) plus it weighs less. I think they're plenty cause I still get people telling me they could hear my radio from inside their house and I have the bass levels set to be as close to the same level as the other speakers as possible to just have a more full sound and not trying to shake the road or anything. One of my CRX's also is even using an underseat sub/amp combo in the back. I think the effectiveness of these subs is mostly due to the acoustics of the hatch area. Oh another little upgrade I do when adding a sub is since I am running the power from the battery into the firewall is I add a split in the wire so I can have access to the battery from inside the car for my jump battery (which I installed inside the car with straps and I recharge it off the car while driving) or a tickle charger without having to pop the hood. Since my jump battery is always hooked up too I can jump start the car with the push of a button from the driver seat. One of my CRX's I just put a whole second fusebox cause I had added a ton of accessories (LED accent lights everywhere, Screens, Solar panel trickle charger, and so on) and it makes their installation a little easier than splitting off the original fuse box with fuse inserts since that will get very crowded very fast.

@@JonHop1300 on a 3076 is LIGHT light work, too. They flow enough for 550-600ish on most 4 cylinders, and spool isn't bad. I really can't wrap my head around building a naturally aspirated Civic to go up against a Type R. They went to the effort to open the engine up and rebuild it, without boost? Granted my experience is all with 4G63s, but I've never bothered doing even a basic rebuild on an engine that's going to make less than 500 whp. Seems silly if it isn't blown up and you're not making any power anyway.

What I have been searching for is a shop that will complete the build on my 95 Nissan 200-SX. I doesn't need a lot of the work you put into the civic. But I'm leaving it all up to you guys. PLEASE PIMP MY RIDE. It has a lot of sentimental value to me. I have been disabled. for 5 years now and can't complete it.

Ive k24 swapped a 97 civic and managed to get it working with ac and power steering. My condensor/dryer bottle takes up a ton of space. I also dont like that on a hot day in traffic she likes to get hot and stay hot until moving. Full size radiator but no space for a second fan. Id like one day to be able to pull an 11-12 second quarter mile but not sure ill make it. Getting older with health issues tends to drain your energy, motivation and money. Thanks for the insights.

it's already at 230 hp, even a small turbo could probably put it over 300, but they built it around natural aspiration so they would have to change around some things. It also isn't very roomy in the engine bay, squeezing all the piping for a turbo would probably be a huge pain
