New Zealand drives on the Left, same as Japan so JDM imports are really popular, My Father and Uncle ran a import business for 20 years, from the late 80s to early 2000s, buying Japanese 2nd hand cars in Japan and bringing them into New Zealand for the 2nd hand dealers. They were far better than the "taxi pack" ones sold new here. 80% were family cars like Corollas and Accords etc, but later, once they realised sporty cars were not only selling but made good profit, they started buying EVOs, VR4 Gallants, WRX STI's, Pulsar GTi-R's, RX-7s the odd GTR Skyline. And there was so much to choose from! You could take your pick. I bought a Nissan Pulsar GTi-R on a buying trip with my Uncle, it was one the best car ive owned, only 20,000 Km and loaded with Japanese tuning house goodies.

Gonna start a new job at a Honda dealership in a couple days. I've worked at luxury dealerships before, but I've never been more excited to work for a brand until Honda. A FD2 Mugen RR has always been my dream car as a child ever since I saw one on the road in Japan back in 09.

Imagine Honda bringing back the S2000 and give it the Type R treatment.
@fai.salrahman3 жыл бұрын
they did with the S2000 CR. Not completely given the Type R treatment tho but still it showed us to what extent they can tweak the car...
@ErectileSceptile3 жыл бұрын
@@fai.salrahman Would still like a modern S2K though. Right now the only real options for lightweight sports car are either the miata, fiata (this is the last production year :(, or the toyobaru gr86
@fai.salrahman3 жыл бұрын
@@ErectileSceptile about that, there are rumors about the successor of the S2000 being launched in 2024 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first generation. It's gonna be equipped with a turbo engine, but since it supposed to be a 2L one the most efficient way to do that is to put the Civic Type R's into the engine bay. With that it's sort of a RWD Civic Type R roadster... The whole car scene will go nuts if this is the case.
@RS-nq8xk3 жыл бұрын
@@fai.salrahman Would be great if they could find a way to rev the engine to a little over 7000, and make a decent intake sound like how the Megane RS does

I love how much crossover with my 2 favorite KZbin channels, Donut and Funhaus there is, even if it's just Ryan popping in with a disclaimer for a second lol
