This is how all officers should act. It's not an easy thing to do and I don't know how they do it. If I could have held it together as he did I would have then called for a K9 to remove her from her vehicle. Just kidding. She was murdering his patients. When people constantly act like this it slowly wears down officers. It makes it almost impossible to get good people to become officers. A person in her position will sway people to believe her twisted version of law enforcement. Lastly, I would like to point out that she has an E-class Merc. The E stands for economy. The people who buy them are wannabe rich snobs. They are worst than the upper-class snobs. They have a chip on their shoulders because they can't afford an S-class.

I hated it, and found that if I ignored it and pretended that she was fine and went about my business, it became alot easier to deal with. Firstly, I wouldn't have to walk around begging her to tell me what us wrong for hours, because she would be so pissed I was 'oblivious' that she would tell me what is wrong about 15-20 minutes later after I left her alone. Secondly, it made me feel better. If he wanted to play her game, I would play mine and I wouldn't get half as frustrated or annoyed at her. Probably not the most healthy way to deal with it, but hey, what she was doing was manipulative and shitty as well.

I actually had a mother very similar to that. She wasn’t a “bad mom,” and she had the best of intentions, but I don’t agree with how she handled things. Everything was very extreme. Leave the toilet seat up? My future wife would leave me some day. Messy room? My wife would leave me over that. Accidentally left a homework assignment at school or at home? I was going to flunk out of school. When I graduated high school I was told my parents never expected me to make it through. I live a very content life now but I struggled with a lot of things for a long time growing up for that reason, since everything, even the most simple mistake, was always so extreme. I thank a female high school teacher and a female athletic coach for helping me feel like I was doing okay and that I was going to make it someday. I certainly haven’t reached my “full potential” after being held down like that but those positive motherly figures in my life have gotten me where I am today. My teacher came to my wedding, in fact. I hear about father figures somewhat often, but I feel like mother figures are unspoken superheroes as well. TL;DR positive influences for kids in situations like this are absolutely life-changing. Part of me can't help but wonder at what stage this turns into psychological abuse for her children, as if they're old enough to understand what she is saying then she's changed the situation from "hey, we're stopping and this guy is talking to our mom" to "holy crap, this guy wants to kill us all". I'll never understand people like this.

It's a great way to make your kids absolutely terrified of anyone in uniform and people like this is why the cycle of hate continues but they are so delusional that that don't realize they are part of the problem.

I think a court would be able to make a decent case that she has a tendency to make massive leaps in rational judgement that wind up making the child fear for his life.

@Jorj Don't be. They're almost as bad as BMWs built anytime in the 2000s. They're all garage queens. Kinda like our VW Jetta. It's a couple years old and will not go 2 months without an issue. Our 06 H3 Hummer has so far needed brake pads and rotors. Still haven't had to do ANY suspension, transmission, or engine work on it.
