We used to eat that fruit when we were children...very nice fruit during our younger days but now very difficult to get them. Those legendary and exotic fruit were very popular among the villagers in those days. How I miss that fruits. We only ate that fruits with thick coconut milk and sugar which we mixed with the flesh and turned into gravy but we did not cook it...just ate it raw.

Hi Anoma, Next time you make Woodapple jam, Don't add water to the pulp. Remove the seeds and mix with sugar then cook on low heat. Add a cinnamon stick if you like. When you add water, the texture, the consistency would not be thick like the store bought jam.
