That's the nicest interface I have ever seen on a welder. I never thought I would see a welder that looks like it could run iPadOS/iOS or Android. It's funny but makes things easier.

I purchased a 10lb spool of Yeswelder .030" flux core wire for my MIG welder from Amazon awhile back. It's better wire than Lincoln for much, much less. Definitely a high quality company.
@gary-e4c5 ай бұрын
just a tip donyboy take a piece of foam rubber and run the wire through it when it comes off the spool and it will help clean the wire and save the liner. another thing when welding with a stick dc neg. will cause porosity.

A very diverse welding unit that does everything you need for a small engine repair shop. Based on your video it appears it can do a lot more, great review Don.

Well Dony, I finally took the plunge and ordered a welder after watching your video.

What did you get?
@davidedwards18555 ай бұрын
I placed a deposit on the yeswelder dp200, the one you reviewed. It goes “live” tomorrow. I guess that means that’s when they start selling it to the general public, and when I’ll have to fork over the rest of the money 😁

@@davidedwards1855 It's a lot of welder for the price! I just welded a deck with it yesterday.
@davidedwards18555 ай бұрын
Well, I have a deck or two that need some patching so maybe I’ll finally get to them! I have very little welding experience but I think the welder at work will be happy that I won’t be bringing him all my little jobs.

In the last year, I watched alot of welder reviews and the Yeswelder looked to be at the top of inexpensive welders. I see that has the pulse setting. Many of the pro welders said that was a game changer. Plus, it sounds nicer too. I think it was last year, some welding organization, the Yes welder won 1st place for best.

Wow, that's cool. I guess Don and your sources tend to agree then. I don't know much about welding, just a bit more about its relative, soldering. And when it comes to soldering, I have a variety of equipment ranging from a 260 W max Weller beast soldering gun down to my 25 W Weller and no name soldering irons as well as owning for the first 20 years of soldering, a Chinese desoldering gun (think variable speed iron matched with a small diaphragm pump and chamber that looks akin to the average Weller soldering gun with variable heat). I used both the 25 W and desoldering gun to reflow some of the solder in the gauge cluster of my brother's CR-V for him.

Thanks Don. Great Review ? 😃👍 T his one kinda goes to the top of my list, because of it's overall flexibility, display, and build quality. I just can't afford a New Lincoln. 😕 Besides, I Still want that Plasma Cutter ! 😂 LOL.

I'm really liking the metal wire feed drive setup, even if it probably is a pot metal of some type. Many other brands use plastic and that's not acceptable. I'd love to see a lot more plain welding on 1/4" to 3/8" stock. Almost all these review videos show off fancy settings not needed 75 % or more of the time your using it. The machine is fully manual adjustable, both wire speed and amperage can be dialed in !

Another great welder machine video/demo review. I am curious, though, as to why you didn't put a weld on the inside of the snowblower auger, too. Only the outside.

Hey Don! Love the video, whenever I need a welder this will be at the top of the list for sure! On another note, you made a video a while back on a Craftsman lawn tractor that was surging. I can't for the life of me find the video and I really need to find it as my tractor has the same issue. Do you have a link for a video like that? Thanks in advance

For thicker steel it helps if you bevel the metal for better penetration.
@donyboy735 ай бұрын
Thanks
@ricardosantana54245 ай бұрын
That’s what I thought. Bevel each side like a V shape and you get better deposition. More metal on because of the greater surface created by the bevel.

I just got mine and I can't use 90% of the options. It won't let me choose. It's like it's self limiting what I can pick. It's on 220v. This thinkg might be getting sent back.
@thomaswakefield68895 ай бұрын
Wow, I'm actually surprised you tried welding the thicker metal without actually beveling them for better weld through penetration. I mean, no real experienced welder would try to weld 1/4" or greater steel plates without at least putting 45° angles on the section that is going to be welded together.

I don't understand why your adjusting wire size to weld thicker material. Forget the auto settings and set your amps and wire feed manually, left and right knobs are there for that purpose!
