The energy level is off the freaking charts... TIRAN PORTER IS CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED

You are so right, friend, about Tiran Porter. I often listen to the Doobie Brothers just to focus on his lines.

This was my introduction to the Doobie Brothers. Whispering Bob Harris played this clip on the old grey whistle test. Not everything I heard from them, subsequently lived up to it, and I’m not a fanatic, but still a fan, 50 years later.

If you thought Peter Frampton was the only one ... 04:08 Pat Simmons on talk box! During this 'musical workout' (great find) Eyes of Silver was followed by Without You. WY ended the show with a "BANG". I am sure you have that song available for an upload as well ;)

Not cracking on this performance, but the horns added so much to the studio version on "What Were Once Vices...".

Several Eyes of Silver live versions on YT including the Memphis Horns. 8 minutes of boogie-ing funk, propelled by Tiran's bass.
