This was the actual recording session for Listen to the Music. These boys could sing better together live also, than almost any band of that era and even up to this very day. I just saw them in concert not that long ago and them boys sound EXACTLY like they did 50 years ago! It's amazing. This is back when you truly needed to be a true MUSICIAN, or your band didn't go anywhere. I liken the Doobies to The Little River Band. Both bands were able to sing live almost exactly like they did on their studio recordings. Many bands cannot do that, and when they sing live, they sound quite different. Another was America. Those boys always sounded exactly like their studio recordings and I have seen them many times in concert over the years up to just a few years ago. You could name 50 more bands that also sounded as good live as they did on their recordings.

They aren't playing live. They are miming to the record so how can it be 'the actual recording session'? Don't be daft.🤣😂🤣

@@burlatsdemontaigne6147 so many rock bands of the 70's that made videos of their recordings were actually lip synching. It's not possible to sound exactly the same as a studio recording when you play live, anyone who knows music can make that observation.

I was about to say the same thing!! I was in a show at the Biggs field, a military base. 1995 aprox. Along in the show was FOREIGNER and another band that I don't remember.

I like checking out what Patrick wore back then! He was so young here too, I can hardly recognize him. Cute too! Long luxurious hair he had. I prefer Pat with long hair! He looks so innocent and wholesome here. What was he thinking?
