@Paul Paul Aren't you a ray of sunshine. You seem like most folks who I run into when I park my bike and get off my motorcycle. It always starts off with "nice bike, I knew a guy once who rode.... Had a bad accident.... yada yada yada." Guess what, she could be on a motorcycle and doing nothing wrong and a car behind her could come out and hit her, etc. etc.. Plenty of scenarios that I could make up to scare a new rider or a cager, pedestrian, bicyclist, etc. etc. I think it would be better to provide words of encouragement rather than indicate genuine concern followed by a scenario that shows the worst possible outcome.

@Paul Paul I know plenty of men that have been riding longer than I've been alive, and have still had to lay it down after decades of riding. I just dropped my boyfriend's road glide last week, and have stalled my Heritage going downhill from a stop because I forgot to downshift. It'll be ok. Like she said, there's a lesson to learn each time.

I'm a little leery of campy too Doodle. Inexplicably, we had a tent and sleeping bags but might have camped out for a weekend once when I was a kid. Dad travelled a lot for work. That airBnB looks nice. @14:17 It reminds me of being a kid, trying to mount up on full size bikes. Even to this day, at 6' 1", I expect and feel comfortable with a high seat height. I actually am leery of and more alarmed on low seats and foot boards, as opposed to pegs. Glad you all had a great time at the event. Oh and yes, if I did do a Harley, it would probably be a fatbob too.

I don't comment on videos typically, but I wanted to reach out and say a big thank you. Your videos have been helping me a lot. I am a newbie at riding. I layed my bike over in the parking lots a couple weeks ago and had to have someone help me pick it up. So today, I asked my boyfriend to lay it down on purpose for me to practice picking it up. I couldn't figure it out for the life of me and had a total melt down so I decided to see if you had any videos on the topic. Sure enough. You posted 10 days ago and the video you pointed me to just gave me so much new found confidence and technique for a smaller gal like me! I'm going to go out there and get that bike back up!💪 You just majorly slapped me out of my funk😂 90% mental and 10% physical. Thank you so much for all the videos you've uploaded and the courage you've gifted me and, I'm sure, many others😊❤

This looks like so much fun! If only Perth wasn't so small, we could have something like this too. We've got a women-only weekend trip to a country town which is fun, camping outside or inside a big rec centre. It's very small, but still a lot of fun and LOTS of riding because the area is so beautiful. Probably similar vibe of ours is we have the York Motorcycle Festival, which is for everyone, not just motorcyclists, but it's a one day thing. People camp or stay in a room the night before.

I'm pleased so see that you didn't hurt yourself in the fall. I must say I'm a little confused by your love of such heavy motorcycles. I'm 5"10' and weigh 194 lbs and have just started to get out of my current "holiday touring" ADV bike as at 550 lbs all up, I found it just not enjoyable to ride in the country lanes in France where I'm riding these days. Getting lost and having to turn round in a back road that turned into "Footpathway"" was a nightmare! I've picked it up twice (Using the proper technique.) on my own and it just takes the fun out of the day for me. (I'm nearly 60 years old.) Ride safe!

Doodle On A Motorcycle >>> When you dropped that big bike at around 2:30 and afterwards grapped the right handlebar I at first thought you had learned a new way to raise your motorcycle up. It´s a way that is especially good for heavy motorcycles. Without knowing it you did the right thing to go to the side the motorcycle had fallen. But instead of grabbing the right handlebar with your right hand it is recommended to grab with the left hand, the right hand then grabs the left handlebar. You drop in your knees to be able to reach the left handlebar with the right hand. You then turn the steer counterclockwise (clockwise if Motorcycle had fallen to the right) and raise in your knees until the motorcycle is raised up again. Some people prefer the opposite position at the handlebars with their hands. I guess that´s a question of personal taste or what you can make work best for you. Hope you can use the advice. Good luck!

I’m just glad you still practice picking up those motorcycles after they fall. Like that huge adventure bike. You gals did awesome. I was thinking you could dig a couple inches into the ground to brace yourself better and not slip to get that bike up if you was by yourself. Of course on the asphalt you couldn’t do that but creativity will help you in anyway. Just glad you’re not getting hurt.
