Very good video, thanks man! Good negatives and positives. Would stay away from saying "the trade-off isn't worth it!" , for example about the battery. Personally 5500 from the Doogee S95 Pro is more than enough for me, so i'm actually making an upgrade going to 6000 mAh, and the trade-off taking of 40 grams is definitely a plus point for me. The V20 is only 1-2 mm bigger in every dimension compared to the S95, and only 15 gram's heavier. Maybe say: "I personally don't understand the design choice, because battery is way more important for me than losing 40gr of weight", that would make your review more objective while also hearing your opinion. Still loved the video, best one about the V20 yet!

I agree. The comparison with the larger battery in the V10 doesn't take account of the comparison between The power consumption of an IPS screen and the V20's AMOLED screen, particularly if used in dark mode with a launcher like Naigara. Also the benefit of the rear screen is not having to power up the main screen to check the time answer calls etc, all saving battery. Having had a 1300ah Ulefone Power 5 for 4 years, big battery phones are extra weight to carry around and are often an excuse not to use the most power efficiency SOC. I think used efficiently the V20 will suit the environment it's designed for, Agreed if you want a gaming phone the better SOC In the umidigi bison GT2 pro may suit better

@6:06 It would have been nice, and useful, if the back screen would have had the capability of being used as viewfinder for the rear cameras, missed opportunity there.

Very nice review! Although this is not a deep in depth review (though I'm impressed by the choice of details you do cover) your review will help me choose a rugged phone for the future! (I'm sort of stuck between Blackview BV8800 and Doogee v20) One thought about smartphones in general and their cameras. I seriously want a phone with IR nightvision camera and I cannot understand why this relativly cheap technology (compared to a thermal camera) so far has been lacking in smartphones! You see all the big famous brands and even their expensive flagships don't have simple nightvision (with extremely few exceptions)! Once upon a time people could not understand why I always carry a flashlight. And when flashlight-function became popular on smartphones everybody used it because a flashlight is extremely practical of course! I predict the same trend with nightvision! Today "a gimmick" - tomorrow a standard!

Which did you decide on? Satisfied with it?
@spacebear9162 жыл бұрын
@@Finite8614 I bought the BV8800 since it was way cheaper in my area. I've been very satisfied with it! If I had the budget today I would buy Doogees new S98 Pro which has both nightvision and thermal camera.

It is really special!! I have owned it for a year and a few months?? Today I saw a swell from the battery and I do not know how?? Or? Why?? What should I do? Do I have the right to exchange it for a new one??? without paying money?
@mattygnzak10 ай бұрын
If they had any form of support or warranty they actually backed up - then maybe - however they don't - so I'd say now would be a good time to find another brand to go and purchase..

Phone's too big. I'd rather have physical navigation buttons, an SD card slot, and headphone jack than a pointless back screen. Also the cameras broke on a drop test.

I purchased this phone and the first thing I noticed is that it can't view KZbin videos in HD due to a issue with the codec. Another is that it doesn't work with AT&T bands although it lists the same frequencies. Also after three months the fingerprint sensor died. It took three weeks for Doogee to reply and they said the repair would require me to pay for shipping even though it was still under warranty. I do not recommend buying from this vendor.
